[APP] Elite Notes, a very simple price recorder for your android device

Only showing category names where there are edited commodities is a great idea, I think that's what we'll do!

Asking for input on these things before I release a new version can be a hell of a time saver, might as well do things right the first time off - like currently there are loads of things in the app I could have done better if I actually asked someone first, but as it is those features are in and working 'good enough' so I can't be bothered to do anything about them.

Watch this space, I'll holler when I publish :)

legendary! i'll keep my eyes peeled dude :)

New build is published, should be available in an hour or three.

w00t.. totally great update dude!

the hide/unhide 'nil value' commodity function is working like a charm, really smooth switching, keeping the headings visible for the active fields was such a good call on your part, it is working like a charm and really sets the page off! also noticed that the text/number pad automatically opens 'ready for input' as soon as you select a field now, makes a huge difference.

your a proper star Jexter, thanks for pushing this update out so quickly, im quite excited about repopulating the app with fresh new data :)

Hi,

I just installed the app on my BlackBerry Z10 and I'm looking forward to using it. I'm only really just starting out as a trader though and I've got a quick question.

I know this might seem stupid, but I'm not sure which figures to enter in to the Supply and Demand sections of the app. Initially I presumed I should add the Supply and Demand figures from the commodities list in the game, however the app auto add's "cr" to the number so I'm wondering if I'm supposed to add the buy and sell price instead....

To make that a little clearer, as far as I'm aware the supply and demand figures from the commodities list in the game refer to "units" not "credits".

Hope that question makes sense... loving the app!

Thanks

Just dropping a note to say that I've recently starting using your App on my Nexus 7 (2013), and it's pretty good! Good job.

Would like to see an option to sort trades by "Source" station or "Destination" station... i.e. press the little dual arrow button on top right ... I think this behavior is intentioned, but not yet implemented... Right now it only shows trades sorted by profitability only.

The app keeps things nice and simple. The value you input will be relative to wether the station has a demand for the commodity or wether it is supplying the commodity (all stations that supply a commodity also buy it back, but at a loss) so the value you want to input will be either 'supply' or 'demand' not both :)

units refer to commodity availability (in tons) with all prices in Credits per ton.

i still sometimes get confused on the trade window lol, when that happens, i always remember, if there is a figure against a commodity for both sell and buy.. they are suppliers!! the higher number is how much it will cost you per ton. if there is a single figure against a commodity, that means it is in demand!! and how much they will pay you per ton for it.

hope that helps

Hey man, thanks for the advice. It isn't the trade window I'm getting confused with though. I was unsure which data I should be inputting in to the app; the buy/sell credit value, or the supply/demand unit value.

You could actually put in the availability numbers if you like, but if you use the trade finder it'll assume it's credits you've entered.
.
Happy easter :)

Thanks. I seem to be trading now, at long last, with a lot of help from this app. I much prefer to have it on my phone rather than keep switching out of the game. Very nice.

You forgot rare trades.. like Lavian brandy

Yeah I know. In not sure how much good it would do though, they're not traded like the others. I mean I suppose I could plonk them all down there at the bottom of the list but there would be a lot of stuff crucial to rares trading missing, like distances.

Does anyone else want this? If one more person says aye I'll put them in :)

Thanks! Just downloaded it onto my tablet and love it already! :D I'd been wanting a way to keep track of the places I'd been -- this is way better than pencil and paper.

Would it be possible (or useful to anyone else) to be able to have a basic notes section for each station? Rares could be noted here, as could certain available ships and parts you want to come back and get later....

Enhancement Request: Can we get the ability to note whether a system / station is Agri, Indi, etc.? I like seeing the Federation / Empire / Etc. alliance status, but would also find it handy to know what kind of economy they had.

Thanks again for the hard work! I'm really liking having this. :)

A few feature requests:

(as mentioned by FlyingPenguin above me)
--Station Economy

--Checking which goods are illegal at a station (but still allow putting a price on it so you know the black market value)

As for rares being listed: I'd really prefer seeing those kept off the list and just be something a commander lists as part of their notes section. I feel like the rares would be a massive clutter to the list unless they only appeared appropriately (as in, you have to specifically enable that rare being listed in an options menu for that particular station).

I agree the station economy should be there, if anything. Dunno really why I put in allegiance first to be quite honest, it's not exactly vital to trading. I'll do it first thing after the notes function :)
