I know about the ASP being top-of-the-line, but for sentimental reasons, I chose my sweet ol' Cobra. That's not that bad considering you were using a Cobra. Trust me, when you get into the ASP and explore you will love it. Taking 30 LY jumps is great and with a class 6 fuel scoop she won't even need to stop to refuel, it's like a Phoenix flying through the fire![]()
I kitted it this way: http://www.edshipyard.com/#/L=602,,2-4s6u6Q5K5K5K6k,7Q40MC4-40J42UI2jw
And I didn't even need the AFMU's. 25Ly range is plenty, at least where I went: at a straight line from Arth through Velas, thanks to this guy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ak-25Iueu3E
Which by the way is a great tip to explorers, hoping to land their first "Congratulations [insert name here], you are the first to discover": Take your home system and one of the systems portrayed in this video, imagine a line drawn between them and extended beyond the remote system, and fly along that line outwards. For me, it was just 350 Ly out before I turned home, at R HYDRAE, and I got all this! I put somewhat 5 hours in it, give or take.
