I've not the numbers in front of me anymore (and I didn't think of taking a screenshot) but tonight's influence percentages are much better for us. IIRC it was something like 65% for CSG and less than 30% for LFE.

yes ive been doing missions every day for awhile now and every so often get something like what you mentioned or this

We should start taking note of oddities and start listing what sort of mission they are with the result. It will help ED track down where the bugs crawl.

Ok, Sirius pointed this out. Here's the numbers from a late evening update:

LFE 29%
Silver 1%
Dominion of Lugh 0%
CSG 65%
LDF 2%

These are some major changes (we and LFE were in the 40% range earlier today)! Not sure what happened...I know we are working hard, but that seems (to) amazing! It could also be that the folks that were pushing the numbers are taking a break...or there was a bug and we were fighting ourselves! Anyway, we'll keep pushing the numbers over the next few days, and see what happens.

In case you are wondering why we haven't called on you guys yet, its because we are waiting for some of the bugs for expanded factions to be fixed. No point in calling a mass action until we check to see if its working.

I'm not sure that we can form opinions on a single data points like this. Assuming a more or less random cross section of people are contributing to influence in any direction for any faction (which is most likely) and discounting the major shifts as anomalies (FD intervention or other bug) what we are left with, and should take more note of, is the greater trend rather than day to day changes. We are not in a regulated environment here, the publicity this system has gained has ensured that chaos is more than just background noise.

During the war it was very clear what everyone needed to be doing in order to further the cause and the core group did a great job of keeping us heading in the right direction. Maybe we should be looking more closely at these mission oddities. I never take missions for 'freelance consultants' or whatever the slave import mission is as I know that the results when I did them before were always a reduction in influence.
I am going to start keeping track of the mission types I run and the results to see if I can see a pattern in the results for influence changes. However I don't get a lot of time to play so I have started laying out a spreadsheet on what info we might need to track to work out the most effective missions. Maybe it will be useful :)

Ah, we were wondering... Are you thinking we will be able to help with the CG in Kwatee? I see GormDeGamle is already there helping out.

I cashed in a large amount of exploration data at Hartsfield late last night. Does that make much difference to the numbers?

Excellent! Let's hope so! The problem with exploration data is that it's sporadic and the amounts vary hugely so it's hard to know how much effect it has.

It was pushing towards the ten mil mark. A lot of the systems were fully scanned. I am also a respected ally with the CSG.
I might do another exploration trip in a few weeks but for now i'll stick around home base looking for trouble.

No. We are on par for tier three. And tier four is ridiculously high, let alone five, and six there really is no point in calling for your help in these. I'm not even sure four and five do anything either :D. Tier six is at 20 million tons collected, and as far as I know, thats the only one that does anything after tier three (1 million tons collected).

We will need help though, but I would like to wait until things are a bit clearer bug wise. For now I don't want to distract you from your home front. Make sure its good and solid that way when we do call you, you won't have to worry about home.

So of the 8 missions I completed this evening, not a single one resulted in an influence change for CSG, positive or negative. Influence was reported as being increased for LDF and LFE (I had to abandon a hunt bounty hunters mission :( ) so influence updates are being processed but, from my point of view, CSG's influence is either frozen or, at the very least, not being reported in mission summary screens.
