A Nice Quiet Place To Call Home...

To give you guys a better idea of what I'm looking for, the closest match that I've found to what I want personally was Can Qing, a high-tech system on the lower fringes of Empire space with several stations/outposts all near RES's.

I REALLY like that system, with the only real exception that it doesn't have a blue star, and it's almost all gas giants. I'd like just a tiny bit more diversity. Other than those tiny qualms, I think I could be very happy in a similar system.

You say your not so picky but that seems the definition of picky ....
I found mine by accident but is near perfect
My home system is a high tech. Station with 3 other high tech systems near by, all producing differing things ,2 agricultural systems. Several refineries and a couple harvesting colonies. It's on the boarder of federal AND EMPIRE space, Hell it doesn't much better than that... The only thing more I could ask for is a a terraforming colony near by. Heck it even had a place that makes rare goods close by.

Okay guys. So, I've been spending the last few months looking for that "perfect" system to call home, and truth be told, I haven't found it yet. I've scoured the galaxy map, and just haven't had any luck yet. But I have high hopes that I'll be able to find it. With the billions of star systems in this game, I'm bound to find it eventually right? I know only a few hundred of those are inhabited, but I can still dream!

Okay, so here's what I want in my home system:

Mainly, I want a system that has a blue star, preferably a large one like an O or B class super giant, but since those are literally the rarest stars in the galaxy, I'll settle for any blue star. Because I like blue. I'd also like the system to have a molten world to visit. I love lava worlds. Along with a few gas giants. I'd also like it to have a major station and a few scattered outposts. I don't care which, but I'd like one or more of those stations/outposts to be orbiting a local planet that has a ring or belt system for easy RES access. I don't really care all that much about the allegiances or the factions the system is in. But I'd pick Empire or Alliance over the Federation if possible. The stations don't have to be high tech. I'm perfectly happy traveling to Founder's World when I need an upgrade.

Honestly, I'm not really all that picky. I just want a blue star system with a decent number of unique and diverse planets in the system. I don't care how many stars the system has as long as the main station or primary outpost is within 10,000Ls of the host star. With stations close to one with icy or metallic rings. I don't really care about the economic state of the inhabitants, or the government it's under. I just want a blue starred and diverse home system that's interesting to explore.

Go check out Sirsir. It is not pre-explored so you better bring a scanner. It's got a blue star and several planets with rings and RES, and IIRC even an outpost directly at one of them.

Edit: Ah, found the very image of the system map I once posted somewhere else. A wonderful system:

Not really. The only thing I'm being firm about is that it's a blue star with a decent station. Everything else is just gravy.

Thanks Mephane! That looks amazing!

Ok, try GD 140:

It's aligned to the Federation, but (as you can see) it's VERY blue! (You may not be able to tell from the picture, but those are bluish-white Class A stars.) Plus it has RES locations and High Tech stations / outposts, with lots of planets to explore. See what you think, CMDR. ;)

What's your home system?

I think I've posted something like this a few months ago, but here it goes again: What's your home system, that you always end up returning to?

Mine is Pukkeenat, nothing but gangs and I'm allied with one, it's great being able to pirate less than 10ly away in Bungk, and return home safely to a black market :)

Hi Hagglebeard,

It used to be LTT 700, but then Empire's Grace moved in became active next door. I left, did not like the neighbours lol.
Hanging around CD-44 10336 art the moment, other side of Fed space. Great name just rolls of the tongue!

I chose it because the focus of my favorite ancient entertainment series called Babylon5 supposedly orbited the third planet in the system. Since I found out there really is a coriolis based station orbiting the third planet, I needed to live there.

We currently have the Sublime Order of Van Mannens Star putting pressure on us and the surrounding systems with a possible plan to expand and its great fun trying to maintain the balance. Its close to Sol which is the opposite end of occupied space I really wanted to be in, but its added great depth th the role play by getting me out of my comfort zone. The fight for control of the system was also a fantastic surprise that I had never even thought might happen. My hopes of wandering Emperial space have been sucked into a black hole, since if I leave for too long, I might lose my home and family.

Still a newb, so I'm busy chasing whatever squirrel crosses my path. As such, I'm staying at Regulus right now. It's got middling trade, several RES's for some light bounty hunting, a couple different ring systems and asteroid belts - metallic/metal rich/rocky - so I can try my hand at some mining, and even a conflict zone. And since Regulus is a blue-white super giant, and Regulus 1 has rings with a ton of dust in them, the scenery ain't half bad either. :)

About the only drawback is that the station is about 2k Ls away from the arrival point, so it's not the quickest trade route.

I passed through Regulus once, it was so eerie, I loved it. I might go back there at some point. Want me to Pm you a good trade route?
