Mercenaries of Mikunn - The Background Simulation and Colonization Test

This is Cmdr Job' and ive Just pulled into mikunn, currently on a run to procure some personal weapons for the dukes. I really enjoy smuggling unmentionables past system security vessels but im flexible :D. Would love to join the mercs, just give me your orders and consider em done

Check the ComWatch for our general goals. Its linked in the OP of this thread in the outline at the very beginning (says ComWatch).

Closest black markets are in Kwatee and Kadj Wen. Kwatee is harder as it has far more system security so if thats something you enjoy Kwatee it is.

Missions towards the Dukes in Sukua would also help a lot.

So i had fun helping you guys out, and your all pretty bro-tier. If you ever need help again, I'll be glad to come and join you in whatever your doing.

Sorry you got shot at by the way. I had a fit about it. You are our first friendly fire that didn't friendly fire at us first. =p

Quick update on the background sim stuff. I was pushing that we push bounty-hunting for 3 days, then 3 days of trade. The first 2 days of of bounty-hunting didn't result in a substantial Influence gain, but the last day got us 2.3%. The first day of trade got about 3%. I don't know if it was just a bump in activity due to the weekend for both. We'll see if we can continue with the trade push.

If you can, please do a run or two out of Hiraga Gateway, but avoid trade in the other stations in HR 7327. I've been buying Imperial Slaves and selling them at Kadj Wen, and returning with Tantalum (relatively low cost for Hiraga to buy, but still profitable). I know it's not a particularly fun 10 minute "commute" - but a bunch of commanders doing a couple of runs each would go a long way.

The server update will go live this morning at 11 am. It has the following changes and a known issue.

- Prevent being fined by the same authority more than once for carrying illegal goods near a station
- Cap all bounties to 1 million credits per minor faction
- Set all current bounties above 1 million credits to 1 million credits

So apparently this happened. Can someone confirm the effects of this?

Because from my understanding this means it's only possible to get 1 million bounty per minor faction, which is concerning to say the least.

Do you guys not form wings to eliminate commutes like this? I mean, that's the whole point of the wing nav beacon right?

Edit:
Wait, nevermind. They seemed to have reversed their earlier statements and declared this a bug and an exploit now.

Also it does not work on 100.000 ls distances, it maxes out at 10k.

It sounds to me like it's still by design, but not to such a large range. 10,000 Ls seems excessive. Hopefully this will allow jumps within reason.

The million credit bounty thing sounds weird. I wonder why they capped it.

Easy - get into your T-9 and load it up with 500 t of Battle Weapons, Slaves or similar potentially illegal commodities. Fly to a number of systems to get scanned by authority and rack up enormous fines. (I think there is/was also a bug where you could go into the main menu, resume and you would get fined again by the same faction.) Let those fines expire into bounties.

Now sell the privilege to shoot you and cash in on that bounty to some schmuck for real $.

With a cap of 1 mil per minor faction bounty farmers now have to work harder to rack up something worth selling (and buyers have to visit more systems to cash in). Also there are game changes in 1.3 that should address some aspects of this.

As implemented, it did not have any distance limitations. You could frameshift directly to a wing beacon without ever entering supercruise at all from any system within jump range of the system that contained the wing beacon. If you had a wing of coordinated players dropping beacons when they arrived, you couldn't jump directly from station to station and back and have 4 people trading constantly no matter how far the stations in question were from the star with no supercruise time.

It was actually really fun, since it required skill and coordination to pull off and as a side effect removed the most boring bit of trading. I'm sad to see it go. More challenge/less boring was a good thing in my mind. :/

Take note of the Influence Level on the graph during the Mission Summary. Sukua is currently at 25%, which is mostly what I've seen, implying the Influence is going to Sukua. It's possible missions ENDING in HR 7327 may show us the current HR 7327 Influence, at 41%. You can just eye ball it.

so we can create new Factions in the upcoming powerplay Update. The ways they will be created if a minor Faction spreads out and ist starting to Control more Systems. Actually i am quite exited if and how the Dukes of Mikunn will act as a major Player in the Game of Thrones. ;)

By joining a Power that supports your play style you'll get better deals, cheaper repair costs, reduced fines, increased values for exploration data and more.

im wondering if these "deals" will extend to the commodity market
