Power Play...speculation

Then explain the "ASP EXPLORER".

;)

Preciselly the perfect example of what i meant, it works just as well for mining, exploration, trading and can even be used in combat, for bounty hunting or piracy. In fact there's not much it can't do.

no matter what happens, they could fix every single bug and make the game perfect for everyone and people would still complain no matter what so idk. I am happy with it as is.

Yep, people will still complain.

I can imagine a lot of people who haven't studied what the developers have told us are expecting some major additions. I mean, we've seen posts/threads of people expecting the walking around ships, stations and planets and when they've been shown that the devs are making that a paid expansion they still say something along the line of:

"Well, I'm still going to keep my fingers crossed because they could surprise us."

Which is a bad way of looking at things.

The clue is in the name of this update "Power Play" and in what we've been told already.

If power corrupts, then grab as much as possible, before it affects your ability to grab even more! This is why we have short lives, it is so we can work faster!

But first: Let the waiting games commence-
Romania in a nutshell xD

They did however spoil a picture of a ship interior, a week ago, they removed it fast but reddit had it everywhere....so you never know

Well, if you want an overview over what has already been announced for 1.3, have a look at my thread where I gathered quotes from the devs about specific features

I'd like player outposts.

Well, one can wish.

No no no no no and no
.
To have player outposts people would then want to be able to destroy them
.
I'm not for coming back of holiday to find my fleet has been turned into scrap metal when someone destroyed the Hangar I was in

Yea... if they can find them

Space is big, read Douglas Adams.

The beacon for the outpost only shows up for the player who owns it; so unless you fancy searching through an entire star system to find a house-to-supermarket sized object - I don't - then there isn't much chance it'll be destroyed.

There could even be restrictions on where it can be built. In unpopulated systems, and a certain distance beyond the furthest planet.

No, actually we wouldn't all like it.

Yep. For them to make sense in the Elite universe, they should cost more than you can afford, and be able to rebel on you, or be taken over by someone. That is why you only indirectly should invest in stuff, and be affiliated with actual entities, existing outside of some player-centric static bubble, not really making sense in a living universe.

I think that we will likely be able to walk around on ship and stations. The pictures from the inside of the Courier are explicit enough.
(...)
I would like to get the planet landing too, but I think that we never see this feature in the currently purchased game.

I think you should aim lower for that one.
No walking around or landing before expansions, though those will come. Powerplay/1.3 is a free update and the Newsletter puts it clearly as such :
And of course, Powerplay is a FREE content update for all Elite: Dangerous players and will be part of Elite: Dangerous for Mac and Xbox One at launch.

I could go find at least one image from a python cockpit taken from behind the pilot seats, walking around ship wasnt planned for gamma though.
They can move the camera around, they developped that game after all. This is only to give you a feel of the final thing. But we will still have to wait, and once we're there, we'll know. This is far too early.

As for thargoids... i couldnt say, but i feel it's a tad early for that too. Though i could be wrong there. I dont know if FD would put them in game without a word.
