FD: What of the Alliance?

We are working with several Alliance factions to maximize the chances to get one of them as power. But really don't know the criteria for one to be electable (except multi-system presence probably) so s hard to know.

In the current state of the game supporting just one faction is a waste of time (as they can only expand once every month and a week or so). Maybe this will be easier in 1.3, but the way they are talking I wouldn't expect any minor faction becoming a power for months.

Is there an easy way to know which powers are being supported in this way so people like myself can either help or at least not be counter productive? ;)

I'd also like to contribute, so this would be helpful for me, too.

Oh, and I forgot to say... I usually operate out of G122-60, but i wouldn't be much of an Ally if i didn't answer Reorte's call. I'll be there.

Since there is not much information into this, I guess the safest way to not be counter-productive is trying to not decrease the influence of factions that are in the Alliance. So if you try to make a profit, try doing it on the stations controlled by them and prioritize their missions.

The Feds and the Imperials are going to be set up to screw their own factions, with all sorts of delicious backstabbing and intrigue as well as outright brawls for dominance amongst themselves. The pilots who fly for them will cheerfully stoke those fires until one or both sides burn up...

...the Feds and Empire are being set up to feed on themselves and there's no way they'll be able to hold it together, I guarantee. There will be assassinations, coups, border wars, resource conflicts which will cause the Federation and Empire at times to attack their own. Unity will be impossible for them.

Powerplay's not even out and it's already started. A bona-fide assassination attempt within the Empire. The Federation will face the same exact kind of fragmentation. The Alliance may have competing subfactions, but I think it will be far easier for Alliance commanders to work together to control the Alliance subfactions than the other way around as it will be with the Feds and Empire. If Alliance CMDRs can get into the mindset of faction-wide cooperation, the Alliance can sit back and watch the Feds and Empire go after each other and themselves.

No Green on Green!
