They are pretty rare, but they do appear in procedurally generated systems. I don't think they are worth much in credits though. Only black holes, neutron stars & white dwarfs seem to be worth much more than an average star.
Found it within a bunch of unscoopables around 100 times older than it.They appear mostly in clusters. Single ones are also fairly regular at 1000LY and more below the plane. When you hit them they are a dime a dozen, literally everywhere. Only seen one orange one though.
They are quite rare, but like all other rarestars are very common near the core. I once found this type of star as a secondary in a system maybe 1000 ly rimward from Sol (I was first discoverer). It went unnoticed because the primary star in the system was a sequence star and thus Ae/Be didn't show up on the filter. I advise looking around manually sometimes -- you can find real gems that way, even far from the core.
They also spin incredibly fast, like once every 5-10 seconds.
According to the wiki it is classed as Legendary (what ever that mean). I has been to two that are not that far away from Civ-space. With the Legendary tag attached to it I was hoping for some impressive sights but its basically a T-Tauri. Don't know about the value to Cartographers though.
