My guess is that the SS (any kind) has to be in the human space, near the old worlds, possibly a permit system "hinted" in the video.

Currently im checking deep space SSs in the Shinrarta Dezhra.

I am not sure where the old worlds are, is it lave / lisstiee or sol ?

I have heard about it and read about it, but just not sure of its location.

Until we know more I'd say SSs in any system that spawn SSs. Cargo scan any ships you can that appear, look for floating salvage.

The Old Worlds seem to be spawning well for people but this seems to be a function of population/traffic rather than any particular area of space. They are as good a place to look as any if you have nowhere else to go but I'm still just looking while doing other things wherever I happen to be. It's going to burn you out if you focus too hard and any theory of specific patterns or systems is only guesswork at this stage - humans like to look for patterns in things whether they actually exist or not - and it might well take days or even weeks before we find one. Simply being aware of Unknown Artifact will mean you are going to remember it if you do spot one, but it's still just a very rare spawn at the end of the day.

I don't think it's going to be that complicated and I don't think it's going to lead to a galactic clue trial. I hope to be wrong on the treasure hunt but I'm not building those hopes up. Prepare for anti-climax. Good luck.

Yes... of course.
It will not be related with UAs or it will be, I don't know, but when DB introduced the Deep Space idea, he did it after a question about exploring, so, I'm quite sure he meat space far from civ space.
Before that AMA, FD put the Wing trailer on youtube... with some hints

If we use the trailer as a hint, we could draw a line between the Nebula and Leonard Nimroy station and focus SSS along that path.

I agree with Steve, shouldn't burn yourself out, I did missions and WSS's for 8-10hrs daily with breaks. Even then I was casual about it but it's still alot to someone who only plays a few hrs when they can.
It will come, they are just rare.

Maybe it Is a function of having the right task on your log

Too random this way. The hint is not this one

I reckon what is happening now with these events and Galnet is a lead up to this:

For some of the Powers we are looking at Power-specific modules and weapons. More info to come. <<< Announcement. ;-)

Question:-

What ships where on the wings demo on both sides?

I don't know about the trailer, but if the UA is inside a heavily guarded T9, then this is what we can expect:

had one convoy with a T9 holding Hafnium and other good stuff; guarded by 3 Anaconda's, 2 Dropships and 3 Vultures IIRC. Might be around the same for UAs. They didn't mind me scanning them.

I believe that UAs may be found inside both WSS and SSS. This fits with Redeyes experience and also these heavily guarded convoys carrying goods introduced in 1.2. I don't think Frontier would introduce anything that cannot be found / obtained by single players. Also, I don't think in order to find it you'd need any knowledge from the books/lore/forums, only in-game knowledge - which leads us to the article (am with Choccy here).

The GalNet article on weird science mentions AI, weapons and biomechanical enhancements. This kind-of fits the very rare salvage items introduced in 1.2 (Hafnium, AI Relics, and Unknown Artefacts). This suggests to me that the convoys carrying these goods are to be found around the old worlds (only). So, to find UA in a SSS, hunt around Lave.

Where to find UA in WSS is a different matter and Timocani seems to be one of the places where UAs spawn.

They can't be in Timocani area.
These guys know how to get it and they say the old world and in SSS. They specificaly say it's not in WSS so it's wing's only.

I must have found a different unknown object. Whatever it was, it sold for alot of credits.

I agree.
IMO there are two ways for finding UAs:

1. Searching sss for the right convoy, this could be not easy because spawn rate is ridicolous and you need a wing for beating the huge escort.

2. Taking the right mission. Clues suggests that in that case, the convoy become scripted and... Disappears. In this case UAs can be located somewere, near pr far from civ space too, but who knows?
