And: it would make sense the Thargoids would use Sag A* as 0,0,0 as it is the only real universal point of origin. Could this be why the texan is in a hurry to get there?

Of course, you know what will really happen:

The artifacts will activate (They are beacons, after all), Thargoids will do a surprise attack, kill off the existing faction leaders/structures, and we will be left with 10-20 squabbling individual "big" factions instead of the three big. Boom. 1.3 Powerplay Update, brought to you by Thargoids.

That assumes Sol is 0,0,0. What is 0,0,0 is the Thargoid homeworld instead?

Isn't there a reference in one of the novels to Thargoids following a migratory pattern throughout the galaxy, with paths shaped like an octagon? (Forget which novel! Apologies if the author's reading! )
