This may be silly but one guy found a 5 and a 22 when converting to binary, could it be a date? 5/22 April 22nd, but then I dunno what the other numbers could be.

To the commander who has one in Peregrina....

would you be prepared to release it into orbit around the quarantined moon ?

If he doesn't then I have one I am happy to use for science... but no permit. Happy for some one that does have a permit to do it with mine .....

Sorry for the multitude of posts...just thinking aloud...

If I AM going to "drop" one of the set of numbers because I only need three, then I'd drop the second one, because it only has 5 digits instead of 6...so that seems like the odd one out...

That leaves me with either:
484, 1444, 625
or:
1681, 625, 1444

Anyone up for exploring?

Don't forget, sound design is HUGE in this game. So making it a message of some sort would definitely be in line with Frontier's actions.

Thing is people already found them before Sir David said in his thread but thought they were just valuable cargo to sell. So it sounded to me like it was something else, something nobody had found yet. Its possible you are rediscovering stuff that's nothing to do with what DB said!

Any idea of their size? Has anyone parked a ship next to one and worked it out? Certainly look organic in nature. I'm guessing no one has shot one up yet? We have a few spare, right? lol

One interesting thought - three of the four lines seem to have a sequence of 6 notes (followed by a honk and another high note), and thargoids are supposedly insectoid, 6 limbs?

Maybe they use base-6, but I don't know how this might be helpful...

...and the remaining sequence only has 5 notes (followed by a honk and another high note).

If I convert to morse, only taking L as dot and H as dash makes any sense, giving the following:
. - . - - . = CA or NP
. . - . - = LT or DN
- . . - - . = UW or AP
. - - . . - = GD or NX

This doesn't seem useful yet...

That looks like partial region names. CA = California, etc. The intersection between those regions contains a system with the artefact?

Or he wanted us to realise that it was more significant than just salvage.

That's interesting because the system in the Wings trailer - where the ship carrying one of these was intercepted - was in the California Nebula.

"Both"?

It could be any of:
484, 1444, 625
484, 625, 1444
625, 484, 1444
625, 1444, 484
1444, 484, 625
1444, 625, 484
or:
625, 1444, 1681
625, 1681, 1444
1444, 625, 1681
1444, 1681, 625
1681, 625, 1444
1681, 1444, 625

We don't know the coordinate order...

Guys i think we should focus on the spore part. i mean the devs surely want all the userbase to be able to toy and discover things with the UA, not just sound engineers. I think we should try different things with it, like getting it into a station, and making it release spores... Idk i'm trying to find anything that would react to organic stuff, but since we are all machines, I don't think it can affect us. Maybe it's some sort of cocoon. Or some egg. Like it infects people, making them alien-like(but that's really stupid,, but you never know)
