The devs wanted some feedback so here is a tiny complaint - If you put a large object like a asteroid between you and your target the radar still keeps track of the enemy (as you can see in the vid) i think it would be cooler if targets are lost and had to be reacquired once you put such a dense object inbetween.![]()
The submarine guys some posts earlier gave me an idea: in the part in the DDA about ships sensors, they mentioned that there are active and passive sensors.
Given the assumption that the scenario you played was intended to feature a ship to ship dogfight and not some hide and seek, I presume that the other ship might have used active sensors for target aquisition.
Maybe that is the reason, why your sensors were able to detect the other ship through the asteroid, it just lit like a lighthouse.
So if my assumption is correct (and I really hope so) it should still be possible to hide in an asteroid field. You just need to switch all your sensors to passive mode.
