Guy crushing ships deliverated on Gerorge Lucas station

I witnessed this. I saw two vultures take on a clipper that was obviously a match for them - he lasted ages, but they kept dying and respawning straight back out the station. it's a shame that players who've been in this game for so long use their money to treat it like an xbox respawn game...of course this is legal, but it's more like xbox respawn gangbanging than a fair fight. :/

We aren't limited to 100m/s. We are limited to hitting another ship at 100m/s. If you don't hit anyone you can go as fast as you want.

A subtle but thrillingly important distinction. My 200m/s tailslide Clipper docking will be even more exciting now, with the threat of imminent fiery death.

It's okay a Type-9 just came in and made them run off.
One of them logged right away.
They will be back, but it's all cheese and crackers.

so you want this game if you gonne buy make sure you got insurence to pay it if not go solo play the game give 2 safe options and players complain because they going to open play.

With all these threads on the forums about "griefers at george Lucas station", you'd think anyone on the forums would know to stay away. Oh well, I guess the power of rares is stronger than common sense.

Not everybody reads game forums.
And I'm surprised that they are still at George Lucas. I would have thought they are at a different station for the next few days.

Seeing as I can't name and shame I wonder if the offenders are going to admit what they are doing

Just wanted to say I warned 23 ships successfully away from the station today they only managed to kill 5 in my presence
-
They tried to tell me I was wasting my time and then said they were changing instance, so I followed them and kept warning ships, a while later they changed instance again or logged off as I couldn't find them
-
And they tried to convince me I wasn't having any effect on them, yeah right.......that's why they kept
leaving
-
I also challenged them to a 2 vs me fight outside the no fire zone but as usual they went and hid inside the station, you can guess what they said
-
Oh well at least I saved a load of ships that could have been destroyed

Outside of George Lucas Station about to dock and someone says in local that people are ramming ships into the station.

T6: “I'm here to deliver a shipment of beer and wine for the celebration.”

IC: “What celebration?”

T6: (Requsting docking permission) “Asking me that is like asking the pizza delivery boy what the pizza's are for, all I can say is the beer and wine is probably for drinking, and not splatting all over the station.”

IC: “Have you got champaigne?”

T6: “Champaigne does not exist in my universe, it's just beer, liquor and wine...” (going through the letterbox)

IC: “But I like Champaigne.”

T6: “Champaigne is for queens.” (Landing on the pad, and entering dock)

IC: “What a minute, you little..!”

I had just dropped out into Lucas station when Sidewinder Radio started playing the theme from "Once Upon a Time in the West" - that harmonica bit.
Too bad I didn't see anyone ramming...instance issue? Of course, it's probably a lot harder to ram-kill an Anaconda coming in at 100m/s.

Why would anyone want to fly at more than 100m/s INSIDE a station???

That's ridiculous.

No need to do that. That's the equivalent of the stupid little boy in the 1L Citroen Saxo revving his engine hard at the lights and burning away when it switches to green.

You deserve to get shot out of the sky if you do that, in my opinion

Let's see...

-Hot docking to avoid a scan.

-fasterdocking because you are on a tight time limit on a mission

-Not everyone is in their 90's, and flies a T-9, and are capable of rapid maneuvers in the station for faster docking.

-Boosting out of a station to avoid a scan because you have illegal goods/wanted status

Those are just 4 of my reasons.

Z...

Im sorry i love this game and all, But once you've land at one station you landed at all stations, it can get boring and tedious so when i fly into a station it's full blast until letterbox gear down some fancy thruster work and on the pad in few secs... so imposing "speed limit" would only hurt aspects of the game I.E Smuggling, Pirating, or when you have a bounty.... So the players ramming/crushing other cmds will only slow down and ram/crush below speed limit..... not a real effective way to stop this crappy practice

Yes but with a ship like a imperial clipper fully upgraded with shield boosters they can boost out of the letterbox at 400 and instant kill most small ships
If they are limited to 100, it does minimal damage with each hit, maybe take 3-4 hits to kill a small ship, giving them plenty of time to escape, so it will have an effect
