Erimus,
When you were out there on your epic journey did you come across any closed/locked systems?
or anything that stood out as unusual?
I know Drew gave a hint at being less "nebulous", but did that mean it was or wasn't a nebula?
I think I'm getting space madness, or it's getting to my head. I had a dream last night I found it, and it looked like a constant FSD / hyperdrive rift just hanging there in space.
The co-ordinates for Reorte and Riedquat are:
Reorte
X:75.75
Y:48.75
Z:75.15625
Riedquat
X:68.84375
Y:48.75
Z:69.75
So, I have been reading through Drew Wagar's much earlier Oolite series of novellas where the Formidine Rift was seemingly first mentioned.
One of them refers to the Thargoids coming through the Rift, with "incursions at Arusqudi and Orteve, followed by Teorge. Within days there was another at Riiser. A civilian fleet was ripped to shreds at Zarace. They'd completely circumvented the Xexedi Cluster... By the time we'd mobilized a sufficient force they were already due at Aesbion."
Later in the same book it mentions"Thargoids entering the Erlasian Gulf and still more massing at Teaatis and Legees."
The only one of these systems that currently seems to appear on the Galaxy Map is, heading over there to take a peek and then will likely head out on the Reorte-Riedquat line.Teorge
BTW, the same books have Raxxia located (at least temporarily) atLave's moon
Haven't finished the last two novellas yet, if I come across any other possible references will post them here.
The systems referred to were part of the old Elite universe/ later Oolite universe consisting of 8 galaxies.
Only a certain few old worlds from the elite universe made the new universe in ED.
I don't think they have any bearing, also they make it appear the Formidine Rift is close by Teorge which it definitely is not![]()
On a side note, are the books good?
I only read this one, but yeah, it was really gripping and I couldn't stop until I knew what happened next.
Would someone mind posting the exact wording of the Reorte-Reidquat line reference.
