News Server down time and Elite: Dangerous for Mac

Edit: change-log below:

· Further optimisations
· Various improvements to OpenGL shadow generation
· Fix for how we handle unsupported languages
· Better PlayStation 3 controller support

I hoped we may have a paintjob... at least.
Still no sign of the Vibrant Anaconda's Pack or the Tactical Pack announced in Newsletter #68 more than a month ago.
And we will have to wait 2 more weeks at least, to get some stuff on the PC version.

2 weeks? Nah...I'll be enjoying the Beta next week instead! Yay! :D

The beta is a discovery, but nothing permanent.
And even If I'm a beta backer, it's not the case of every PC players...

(Last betas, I've played 2 days to make bug reports, then I was on the live version again and saw that I missed all the terraforming community goals...)

Hey Edward... quick request (and nothing to do with the mac version, sorry of it's off topic). Is there any chance that FD announcements that have a time listed in them can either always be done in UTC... or if they absolutely MUST be in another time zone can that be listed WITH the timezone (eg: 10am BST)? It'd make it a LOT easier for the one or two of us that aren't in Britain. I don't know whether your 10am means BST, UTC, GMT, or Banana time.

Since David Braben, has been revealed to be an Imperial, it is only reasonable to assume that it is 10am at the Capitol in Achenar. :D

Sorry, couldn't resist ;)

As for making it available in the Mac app store, while it probably does make sense to have it there, it appears that the app store itself doesn't really get the kind of traffic that might be assumed, especially compared to the iOS app store or Steam. I and plenty of other people I know who use Macs don't tend to browse the Mac app store for anything specific, instead usually going to source for specific software, much the same way Windows users do.

Hey,

Sorry, I usually write BST. Thought I'd done it this time, too.
