My intention is to wait for powerplay to drop and then take the old gold and black Wanderer out and sell the exploration data on my return to whichever faction rewards explorers (provided they aren't the Empire or Feds).

I'll be in the Quite Busy With RL Including Having Young Children And Only Limited Time To Play division so I expect it'll take me a couple of weeks.

I'm in a similar boat, but thought, since they have delayed PP that I'd get the data now, and return for the start of PP and sell it to the faction I want to help the most.

Started my run Saturday evening (emailed starting screenies to ElectricZ) and was almost immediately halted by server disconnects so couldn't really get started until Sunday morning (and more disconnections). So far I'm about 11Kly out and I find I'm stopping every other system to scan and enjoy the sights.........Seen some amazing things and I'm less than half way there, but I'll keep going

Cannot devote the time I had hoped to this so I may take the record for the 'longest' time to Sgr A

I took 3 weeks, and covered at least 36000LYs to get there, I wasn't hurrying

If anyone's interested I've just arrived back in the bubble, and am still waiting for my sticker.. There must have gone something wrong at the border control, I guess.

Well, after spending bloody ages selling the scanner data, I was 38 millions richer and rated as Ranger..
So, thanks to Bucky and ElectricZ for getting me that far out in the first place!

Honestly I was kinda worried that I'd crash at the first station I dock at, because I just bought the T7 for this race alone, but it turned out to be quite relaxing to fly.

I think I'll keep 'er.

We could have Frolicked around the Black hole at CL Pismis 18 together..

Good thing I made it home... cuz now, I'm gonna be running around trying to rescue Ciri (pronounced as "Siri") from Da Evil Emperor (not Palpatine).

And yeah had to roll back nvidia drivers to 1 version prior too.. otherwise video capture doesn't work - not even Shadowplay. Weird problem. And this affects OTHER GAMES like ED too, not just Witcher 3.

Did I also mention Witcher 3 has the right amount of "hot" women? Except everytime when the woman is hot, she's also a bloody deadly sorceress....

Oh btw... I'm still trying to find a date to launch my Vulture. Gonna need at least 20 hours if not more to get to Sag A*.... 18.8 LY jump range FTW!

While waiting for an update to the Leader Board, i wonder: why hasn't anyone started in an Adder? Its a pretty decent ship when it comes to jump range.

I'm planning on taking the scenic route home with a bucketload of data for sale, so I won't be hogging the dibs on this adventure... And I personally despise the looks and feels of the Adder, so there's that...

I agree, the Adder's a solid ship for long jumps... But I think its main problem is that for the budget explorer, it still costs 500k more than this, which can jump quite a bit further (even if you put the fuel tank back to full size)

The Sidewinder Undesided (mandatory rimshot) has touched down back at Galileo, completing the full round trip. The station attendant looked about as surprised at my return as he did when I parked my Asp and got into the ol' Sidewinder in the first place.

So, what how much did that two-way trip to Sadge in a Sidewinder earn?
20 MCr, 4 System Permits and yet I've still not sold all the data.
Oh, and a compulsion to fire a discovery scanner after each jump, even if none is installed: Yes.

Not bad, considering that the whole ship costs merely 2.4 MCr (of which over 60% is the ADS) and the repair bill was a staggering 1.3k. Including integrity.
...now let's see how close I can get to those 64 MCr with this data alone...
