News Elite: Dangerous Steam Keys

works for me i normal use google crome but used firefox and see the partner key above product acces keys do i need to delete the old elite dangerous before installing it on steam.

I would suggest is a SERIOUS fault if you can not see "partner keys" link with Firefox. Had use Internet Explorer.

30% isn't bad but it still amkes sense to buy on their store so they get extra money and you also use it on the steam verson.

That's not what's happening here. I appreciate that there is a lot of pages now, but the only way for FD to get all the cash is to not redeem your Steam key.

Based on the information provided by FD so far, yes for those who link their Steam key.

Hmm...I disagree with your interpretation of those conversations...but maybe the devs could clarify how they signed up with Steam. According to your interpretation, they just made Steam a full on partner to Frontier....with a 30% stake.

Here's another person suggesting the same:

Its late , so only a brief read though on post before sorry if I missed this, but after I got steam version installed , do I need to do anything else , , thinking of the binds and other settings ? seems you have to play first to be able to post a review on steam , anyhow steam wouldn't let me the game was still installing, also does it make any difference which way you launch ED by Frontier launcher or Steam ? One last question when buying paints ect, buy through Frontier store yes ?

Nothing else to do. The game will install itself, again, to the Steamapps directory. The bindings reside in a shared file. Once you install Steam, add the key, and download, there will be a little housekeeping on start and you are done. It doesn not matter which way you start the game, although if you are wanting Steam to report you are playing, how many hours, firends notifications, etc. You have to start in Steam.

It's not an interpretation really, it's actually quite clear. See the other person in the thread who has confirmed the same. But it's only on future purchase on linked accounts. Nowhere was anything said to indicate a 30% full partner.
