Fallout 4

Fallout 4. I hope it will be as awesome or better than 3. So often games reach a pinnacle and then fall from grace, never to return. i.e. Morrowind. IMO, Hands down the best version of the game. The rest sacrificed game mechanics for a pretty face. Like spell crafting and levitation. I miss those 2 mechanics so much.

Skyrim was my favorite TES game, and I probably liked New Vegas better than F3. Still I'm really excited for Fallout 4. I a Bethesda fanboy for sure. Love their embrace of the modding community especially.

Hoping that Fallout 4 here takes some cues from New Vegas' story and characters, which were superior imho.

I never played New Vegas. Fallout 3 and Borderlands were the last console games I got into. I too love Bethesda. Sometimes they fall short but they are very innovative.

I'm still playing New Vegas, albeit with various mods to spice things up. It's my favourite Fallout too. I did finish Fallout 3 a few times, and the DLCs, but I've not been tempted back to it since...

Now that's nice. I really like the Fallout universe. Although i liked FA3 and FA NV, i really miss a new "old school" game like Fallout 2. And yes Jenner, i understand you very well. A quick peak at Nexus is enough to understand that despite it's bugs, Gamebryo engine has a ton of mods for those games, and many of them are awesome.

Fallout 3 and New Vegas are amazing, but I really liked NV mostly because of the "wild west" theme. Waiting for some official news about F4 for sure. I just hope it wont run on this "wierd" id Tech 5 engine.

No love for ID engines anymore? Just kiddin. Yep id Tech 5 had a strange way to deal with textures. Rage and Wolfenstein New Order have the annoying texture popping issue.

Fallout 3 is one of my games of all time for sure. Couldn't really get into Vegas - not super-keen on the wild west theme myself. Agreed on Morrowind vs the rest, by far.

Agreed - I loved Fallout 3, one of my top 10 games of all time, easily - probably in the top 5. I did get seriously into modding however and had a build using 73 mods. It took ages to tweak them all so there were no conflicts, but once done it was awesome. NV was good, but suffered from that "can't quite outdo the massive first game" syndrome. The devs did at least incorporate a lot of enhancements based on community mods.

Looking forward to Fallout 4 now, but I'll have to finish Witcher 3 first!

Brilliant! One of my favourite ever gaming moments was fighting slave traders on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. Fallout 3 was full of ironic moments like that.

Damn it, that trailer looked totally average. I mean yes it Fallout universe, we got that. But I have not seen anything in there that would got me more excited to be honest, nothing new and "wow" inducing. And it smells like the id5 engine all over it. :( :(

They're saving material for E3.

I loved ALL the Fallout games, including the much dumped on Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel :)

Fallout New Vegas, to me anyway, goes down as literally the BEST SINGLE PLAYER GAME EVER MADE. The mods available for it now totally make it worth a full replay. The real weapon mods are awesome!!

I really really really look forward to Fallout 4.

WAR, WAR NEVER CHANGES.

Am I the only one disappointed with the look of the gfx in the trailer? The characters look like ps3 quality to me.

They looked fine to me. It was a noticeable improvement from prior Fallout games. I don't know if it knocked my socks off or anything (no hair physics?? lol), but it's good. I particularly liked the noir-ish look of that one city street.

Besides I'm sure the ENBs and texture improvement mods will be out within a matter of hours after this releases.

I honestly couldn't care less about the graphical fidelity. As long as it's not actually bad it doesn't concern me at all.

Anyone actually click through the pre-order stuff? I did. Its not on steam yet, but its pre-order page works on Amazon and Gamestop. They are both claiming Dec release of this year:

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00YQ1NOPM...DWS3WA4RDEJK3W&pf_rd_i=fallout&qid=1433362731

I figured the game was at least a year out, but well, I've grown used to Star Citizen's timeline lol

The 31/12/currentyear date is a placeholder that's used when they don't have the actual date.

Fallout in 3D and on consoles...

Still New Vegas wasn't been that bad really. It was huge world in best traditions of TES3. Not only with large area but with tight packed quests and locations. Story was good, characters was good, writing was good so kudos for that. Changed my opinion really. But anything less just would not cut it for me. Fallout 3 was a huge disappointment for me in that regard.
