who else is selling/downgrading all their components to avoid the 10% penalty?

I'm sure if you all whine enough, they'll add a nice auto trader module for you, or even auto combat. Moan enough and you get what you seek. :p

That seems to be the key anyway.

Yaay! Thank you all crybabies. Let's celebrate - 10% penalty gone :DD

Not everyone's a crybaby. Making valid observations shouldn't earn anyone that label.

I really don't care what they do, I just wish they'd give enough thought to a decision that you didn't have to spend a week or more wondering if they were going to reverse what they just announced.

If that makes me an unreasonable crybaby, then I'll wear the label proudly and view it as a complement and more of a reflection on the name caller than any valid description of myself.

You weren't happy when they announced the change, I presume. And now you're not happy that they reverted. There's just no pleasing some people!

Sorry you feel that way.

But I really don't care.

I'll express my opinions anytime I like. You're free to block my posts if they bother you.

My plans were in place either way this finally went.

Noone's against the 10% change. We're only against it without the ability to store modules the way we do with ships.

Now that's just daft.
Under that premise, all anyone would ever have to do is buy one of everything and store it. Free ability to customise loadout for no cost ever after. How realistic is that? And of course, it's self defeating. Of course no-one would be against a 10% drop in income for selling modules - they wouldn't ever sell any. Make it 20%, 50%, or even 100% and no-one would care!
As it is, there is a repreve. We all now have a grace period to continue buying and selling modules at no cost [think of it as a free storage service].
I am certainly going to take advantage of it, but I'm not going to believe it'll last forever.
I'm just grateful that I can now relax, take more time to get to my T7 so I don't have to sell by beloved Asp, and get the both of them set for their respective duties.
.
Thanks FD.

Nice. Sounds good to me. I just hope these new modules will be free or else I'm gonna crrrrryyyyyyyyy...... :p

I think it would be a chore to manage, that is if the stored modules were at different stations. Would kind of limit you from certain systems.

The cry babies have got their own way as usual.

The real cry babies are the ones lumping the majority who didn't want the change "as it was presented" in a single group, slapping a name on this group, and ignoring all the positive and constructive things that posters in this "group" actually contributed.

See what I did?

I am going to be more focused on filling up with illegals substances and selling them off with a huge profit when ever the
update actually lands - October ?

well, much like y2k, much preparation, zero fall out.
Though, now that I AM in inhabited space, and there's no insane penalty, I'm going to drop my fuel scoop, load my conda with turrets, beam weapons, and SCBs, buy a few tons of gold, and go pirate hunting before I head back out into the black :)

knee jerk reactions and now you have to go module shopping again ;)

not really "knee jerk." It was actually a well-thought out response to a planned change to the game that would have cost me well over 15 million. I was prepared for the fact -- and actually anticipated, given how bone-headed the change was-- that I'd end up re-shopping for parts. But the point is if I hadn't done this, and they did implement the change, I would have been out a lot of credits. This way, I'm out nothing. And my only loss is an hour or so finding parts. Probaly going to use this as an opportunity to re-fit to a battle-conda and go hunt some pirates :))
.
anyway, I thought the odds were fairly low that they would implement -- you'd have to be really short-sighted, bone headed, and frankly, an idiot, to think the 10%, as implemented was a good idea. And FD isn't any of those.

Just asking for consistency with ships. I shouldn't lose 15mil by changing a powerplant on my conda. If the alternative is to buy 2 condas then that's a bit silly if ships are supposed to be multirole and you get punished for it.

Says the guy crying about Frontier's response to well reasoned arguments...

Honestly I see you whining more than most on this forum, odd that.
