Interestingly enough, my channel stats show almost the same percentage for the last two weeks.
BUT if I check out the lifetime statistics, the female viewership grows to 13 %. Seems that Elite: Dangerous footage is very male-oriented compared to more widely appealing footage from medieval fairs and myself shooting a bow...
Teaches me to write to the forums just after sipping something stronger...![]()
Not too surprising I think.
Why's this a surprise? The Male:Female ratio in videogames has always been heavily biased toward the former.
there is a joke there.... nah, i'll just leave it.
Am I reading your post in the wrong way ? If so apologies....If not then
I don't think its in any way biased.. Are women not allowed to buy video games then ?
Of course they are....Its just because they don't want to.....
The percentage would be about the same in a pub with men and women buying pints of beer..Nothing stopping them they just prefer not to .. its a fact of life not in any way biased![]()
In fact, theres even been HUGE internal debates from game companies how to market to women better.
Using simplistic anecdata from the female gamers I know, don't try and specifically market to women.
