I think most people are being harsh, I know some are dissappointed but thats only because the rollercoaster community have hyped this up into something it has never tried or claimed to be.
People need to remember that Frontier is a business, and like any business the key is to make as much money as possible, Frontier have no obligation what so ever to give a Coaster fans exactly what they want. It makes sense for Frontier to venture further into iOS gaming as it is the in thing at the moment, and this game looks to surpass all the tacky rollercoaster games currently available on IOS.
That said, I think some developer needs to tap into this vast audience of coaster fans, desperate for the perfect theme park game and who better than frontier with their history however, I dont think this will happen anytime soon, which is frustrating because it would be huge to enhusiasts and general public alike as it would encompass all what makes a game great, creativity, strategy, simulation, and who doesnt love theme parks. Developers need to focus less on sandbox style rollercoaster construction games as they have no substance without a beautifully crafted park to put them in, and the excitement of opening the gates and making money ready to build the next high tech ride, this doesnt have to be rct4, but it needs to be made and any developer with a brain should dive on the opportunity to be the one to make.
With regards to this game, like all IOS games, it looks to be a fun way to pass the time when your bored but nothing more.
