i can run the game maxed out and it seems "fine" in my dk2 (75fps on ultra with my gtx 980 ti)
however, i find the movement of asteroids in that first tutorial area to be kinda sorta choppy. its not judder, i can move my head around smoothly all the time, its just the rocks out the window that seem lightly choppy..
You may find those areas are difficult to get perfect. I suspect it is down to the following:
1) Space is near black and the asteroids are close to white. This means any movement is very limited by black to white/white to black response of the display.
2) Depends if the frame rate is changing while one moves around. Lots on the screen to be rendered at once.
I have found the following things to help the 980 in general. 980Ti may not see benefit, but you can try:
Set shadow and reflection detail to low (shadows in real life dont have detail).
Use NVIDIA inspector to set a frame rate limit of 75FPS.
Force VSYNC ON/OFF with triple buffering set the same way - see which works better for you.
Use 1.5 supersampling max (in ED).
On the 980 this smooths out most of the issues - barring those that need code work, a better display response time or simply a much more powerful GPU.
