4500cr/ton

Well it's still not bad is it? Nearly 4.5k/tonne round trip (Imp Slaves & Gold) for a relatively quick two jump haul. 448t per trip makes for a pretty decent cr/hr and so far no problems with "bulk discount".

Definitely the best trade route I've ever found, even post nerf.

Not 20 mil an hour good, but still worth hitting IMO.

I spent about 6 hrs today looking for better route. My route for the last 2 months was a 6M/hr route with Super C's and Impis.

I tried over in Delaine space doing Impi smuggling, but got really tired of being interdicted almost every stinking trip into his space (I am pledged to Arissa), sometimes twice a trip. I was making about 8M/hr, but had to travel 30 min there and back, so was losing about 3M just to get there and back.

I then went over to geritol space (Torval) and searched around. Finally found a return route for Impis with Super C's again. I'm making 10M/hr.

This is all with a 436t Conda.

there shouldn't only be a 50% income-tax, 1500cr. landing fee and "up to date" fuel prices (15000cr. / tonne) there also should be a income cap of about 1000cr. per week. That would reduce the massive abuse and exploit of communism in this game.

Now be honest: This is a game that also should be at least a bit of fun and joy. NPCs have become more difficult, wear&tear costs and fuel costs have increased, lots of money is spent on (power) party donations (to load more stuff and gain rank faster), why shouldn't there be more options for increased income on the other side.

The game doesn't need less income and higher money-drains. It needs reasonable things to invest/spend the more or less hard earned money!

Exactly, it's like they don't want us to have fun or something. I don't get it.

Yea I've noticed that if i use my SDC its a guaranteed scan.. It's like the bloody thing tells the authorities to come look at my ship. :(

I have a 1,846,320 CR fine in one system and I'm not paying that stupid thing off. >:-(

Just buy a Sidewinder and blow yourself up in it outside the station. Bye bye ridiculous fine.

It's things like this that are pretty much the entire reason I don't grind, why I don't jump on these loopholes like farming luxuries and don't frantically stress over maximizing credits/hour. If I found it "fun" to chase these things I'd find it frustrating when the loophole I was exploiting was inevitably closed. By taking a much more leisurely attitude and just enjoying playing the game with the ship(s) I've got I've managed to trade, smuggle and bounty-hunt my way to a small fleet that does NOT (yet) include a 'conda or a T9. I'm guessing it will be about another 6 months before I'm considering a 'conda purchase and that's fine by me - there's a lot of gameplay to go between now and then. Frantically making use of a loophole like this to skip over all of that in a day doesn't seem like it would be nearly so much fun as making my way there at a more relaxed pace.

It's still worth it unless you get scanned & fined. I got hit with a 1.8m CR fine that kinda wiped out the 1.3m CR profit I made lol.

Makes it fun though no? I only play very casually so i only did three slave runs and those after the balancing patch. Made good profit though (236t clipper).
Those three times i managed to dock in the coriolis with silent running without being scanned.
If i fail i get fined. Risk vs reward. This is how it should be - not just a better profit trade route.

Loophole? Calling these sudden "boon" trading opportunites loopholes/exploits is plain wrong, and "nerfing" them is adding to the overall blandness of the economy. As it stands, the prices throughout the galaxy are so static and relatively close in price - it's boring, and the commodities are meaningless names.

When I trade, I do in fact find it fun to "chase" these things (not the strict exploits - but things like wildly varying prices - which would be present in a REAL economy).

Take, for instance, the imperial slaves smuggling in Archon's space over the weekend. Archon has black market bonuses - so how was that an exploit at all? It seems like it would be intended behavior for smart smugglers! FD's nerfing of related prices just nullifies Archon's bonus. It's as if FD tries to add variety in the game - but as soon as it might conceivably be profitable, they tone it down in favor of more blandness.

I just think the economy should be much more dynamic, so that these "boon" opportunities close up on their own (especially if lots of players know about them) - not because FD has to nerf them.

here is my question i cant seem to stop getting scanned. ive done it before with no problem and i have been doing nothing different. so whats going on?
and i do have an anaconda while im doing this, im not sure if the guards can actually see a flying football field....
what am i suppose to do to avoid this? or is this uncontrollable no matter what i do?

Unfortunately these forums are a double edged sword. People post here to brag & share their wealth creation discoveries. Trouble is the Devs can read too lol

I am glad people shared. I think if they didn't a handful of people would have made giant space buckets of cash for a couple of days more, as it was hundreds of CMDRs got to enjoy the benefits for a shorter time - I like the latter.

So thanks to all those who shared this - please keep it up.

It helps if you are allied with the station to which you are smuggling - they scan you much less frequently. If you are a good pilot you can just boost up to the station and get through the letterbox before you get scanned. My approach is as follows (along with technical d...

Throttle at Max
Boost so that you are heading towards a point about 6km away from the station which is directly in front of the letterbox
While heading to that point look at your left hand screen bring up the request docking - keep an eue on distance to station, hit request docking as soon as you are within 7.5km.
Boost again - keep peeking at the station with head look or a quick turn to see where you are in relation to the letterbox
Just before you are right in-front of the letterbox turn quickly to point directly at it and boost.
Immediately drop landing gear keep throttle at max.
Depending on the manoeuvrability of your ship drop to the blue throttle zone as you approach the letterbox (in my anaconda with D rated thrusters it is about 2.5km from the station).

This should get you in with no problems. In an Anaconda you have to have a 4A shield with at least 4xA rated boosters until you get the hang of this, as the risk of going splat, whilst small, is not negligible. I don't consider myself a great pilot and the above set up has been enough to mitigate the occasional mishap, but never have I hit the station, only ever the railings.

That diagram is actually not too different from what I do in my T9, except I use up/down thrusters and cut it a lot closer. Can get surprising speed change by righting yourself at the last minute, around the outer circle, and cutting to half power and thrusting upwards, pointing at the station. Once slowed enough, head in and I usually deploy landing gear as I head through the slot.

Yeah got scanned for the first time last night despite silent running and chucking heat sinks as necessary. Was firing in at full pelt from 8km out when another ship nipped in front of me so slammed on the anchors. Cue my first scan... Grrr. It seems even silent running isn't a guarantee to avoid scans when you're 2km out in a stationary Anaconda with 448t of illicit cargo ;)

i have just tried my hand at smuggling, and i am not an expert, first time i have done it a for few times in a row.
But flying my T9, i have successfully smuggled in imperial slaves, 7-8 times in a row now, never once got scanned.
i do this by switching of Auto dc, approaching around 7.5km from station entrance, request docking, then boost towards letterbox and going silent running, and keep hitting heat sinks, (i have 2 launchers fitted, total 6 heat sinks) keeping below 15c, while doing this i slow down to safely enter letterbox, (no further boosting required) as soon as i am in station switch silent running off and land. works every time so far.

I am making roughly 2.3m per run (20mins) so approx total 6.9m per/h.

I didn't wanna drop this tip because i didn't wanna start a debate on Open/private VS solo BUT.. It's easier to slip past the coppers in OPEN and private groups like Mobius than it is in solo. Reason being this. When you jump into an system in Open the ships were already spawned and flying around and aren't specifically spawned for you. Whereas in solo when you jump into a station instance, ships are spawned right at the moment and specifically for you. Simply put, Authority ships are typically preoccupied in Open/private because the instance is already active.

This has been my observations you can take it or leave it.
