Forget about that hull integrity already.
What the hell? "I saw 100500mln bill for my 2% of hull, i push the button and......give me back my money!"
It's just childish.

You realize that I integrity barely means anything right? It's not the same as repairs. If your integrity is completely worn out, you basically have 70% hull strength.

People are losing their minds over something You can quite safely ignore all together.

This has to be fixed, I cant keep up with it in my Python, 1 interdiction = ~4% integrity damage = 350k/550k depending on the speed when I dropped.

Integrity hit on interdiction? I avoid integrity damage by submitting and then blasting the pirate. On the other hand, I'm flying a Python making 4M cr/hr so what do I care if I have to pay 100K cr per 1% integrity. I'd rather it be smaller but then my ship cost over 80M. 1% of 80M is 800K so that 100K for 1% hull integrity seems like a good deal!

Is that not a feature? I mean it would be realistic

Going bankrupt would be realistic but it's not a desirable feature for what's supposed to be a fun game. I did two go and return trade runs in my Anaconda in around half an hour when 1.3 went live and despite having no interdictions and no scrapes when docking had the best part of a million credit bill showing for integrity repairs. I haven't logged in again since as I'm waiting to see definitively that repairs costs have been fixed before I do.

If you play in solo mode, 70% hull strength is no big deal, and you probably should never pay to repair it. I have escaped interdiction in trading ships from player pirates with less then 10% hull left several times, and I have also had PvP fights go down to the wire with both parties under 30% hull. If I ignored integrity in these situations, I would have been dead as a doornail. Paying your integrity might just save your bacon in open mode.

The main thing i dont understand is, why is integrity repair (i.e. maintenance) so much more expensive than actual repair. That does not make sense.

IRL you perform maintenance so you dont have to repair and replace parts that often, thereby saving money.

Maybe I should feel bad for this, but this is funny....

If you have ever had to repair something that affects the structural integrity of your car for example, it will answer this. Fixing a twisted chasis on a car probably amounts to purchasing a new car and the twisted chasis is usually grounds for the car to be written off. Lets say that repair work on starships is advanced enough that damage to the ships 'chasis' can be fixed, it will be expensive and this makes sense to me.

- Fix unreasonable changes in Federal and Empire military ranks when completing missions
Thanks for your patience during the down time.

What do you mean by unreasonable?

The fact I completed the rank mission for "Earl" 6 freaking times before CS fixed it for me, and today, I completed the mission for Marquis, and didn't get the rank reward either.

I guess that could qualify as extremely "unreasonable", but still would be an odd way to label it, which leads me to assume you're talking about something other than making our lives less miserable in the ED?

I do find it amusing when I hear people say if they don't fix this now ill be mad? do they even know how many lines of code go into an update, or how no amount of testing finds all the bug when you drop it on a live server. been gamming for 25 years and this team seems to have their $%^& together man ive played games that major bugs were left unfixed for weeks. lol and Friday is a good day for update because we all are at work to get our pay check

Yeah FD do an alright job. They could be Ubisoft and just not fix anything...

You should have read the description of the ship

The Python is a heavily armed and well-protected craft, boasting considerable manoeuvrability for its hulking size. Despite being exceptionally powerful and potentially useful in a variety of roles, the Python does suffer from exceptionally high operating costs, making it a potentially cost-prohibitive option for many pilots.

It is considered by some to be the most effective balance between firepower, manoeuvrability, and protection currently available. In addition to being capable of holding its own against the larger Anaconda in a toe-to-toe frontal battle through its substantial protection and firepower, the Python is generally agile enough to comfortably deal with smaller fighter classes without having to rely on turret mounts.

The Python can also serve as a heavily armed freighter in that it can carry 284 T of cargo with a class 3 shield module fitted, or 292 T with no shield fitted, both of which is more cargo than the Type-7 Transporter can carry without shields fitted. Additionally, besides being able to carry more cargo while retaining shields, the Python can dock at Outposts since it utilizes medium sized landing pads. However, the downside to trading with a Python is its higher repair/maintenance costs and its shorter jump range when fully loaded.

The weapon hard points are located as follows: 1 medium and 1 large hardpoint on the top of the ship slightly behind and on both sides of the cockpit for a total of 2 large and 2 medium on upper surface, and 1 large hardpoint on the underside of the ship about where the cockpit is located.

Thats a nice description of the what the Python offers. I'm using it for trading, on my way to a type 9. However i also own an Asp, outfitted solely for combat with every aspect top of the range - gubs, shields, mirror hull, the lot. I love its manoevreability, i think a bit better than the Python which makes up for the Python's bigger firepower.

Oh, and i see they still think i'm 'mostly harmless'. Cmon FD let us all see people's proper ratings here or else remove them altogether. I'd love to see ratings of folk on this forum, but would rather see Trading and Exploration included. Too much bias toward Combat.

And for the record: Combat - competent
Trading - Entrepeneur
Exploration - not my thing. Aimless, very...
