Full Version (V1.41) released:



Changelog (incl. beta):
- Added "Osmium" and "SAP 8 Core Container" Commodities (Powerplay).
- Added "Salvage" Category (Powerplay).
- Added updated language.mdb for the new category (Powerplay).
- Added new ship type "Diamondback Scout" (Powerplay).
- Changed ship type "Diamondback" to "Diamondback Explorer" at the personal.mdb (Powerplay).
- Added dropdown to Commodity panel, to select the category. Click at the category name text to open it.
- Dateformat "dd.mm.yyyy" is now standard, USA have "mm.dd.yyyy"
- Changed new alternativ panel display mode to standard. You can change it back to old mode at the Options panel.
- Fixed "Set as Destination" at the Stored Locations panel.
- Fixed filtering in Select Destination panel.
- Fixed scrollbar in Stored Loactions, if no entry selected.
- Fixed issue with Trade panel, when in unknown star system
- Fixed issue in Add/Mod Commodity panel
- Fixed display issue of dates. Perhaps i didnt catch all, so please report, if they differ and where.
- Fixed cut off panels in new panel display mode.
- Fixed issue for distance inputs at Station Database panel.
- Fixed issue with saving notes in Cartography panel, if no star class selected.
- Fixed wrong date displays.

Compatibility Note:
What files I need to continue from my previous version of TCE?
V1.41 Beta: You have to copy all databases (DB folder) and the TCE.ini.
V1.40: You have to copy all databases (DB folder) and the TCE.ini.
V1.39: You have to copy all databases (DB folder), except the panel.mdb. A new TCE.ini must be created with the TCE Setup.
V1.38 & earlier: no longer compatible.

Ah ok thx, must of had a hiccup and it didn't save the one time I was looking lol

The only difference between the two, is the new panel causes the taskbar to appear above ED and TCE when it has focus, where the old panel doesn't, perhaps it's something my end that's causing a conflict

With the 1.41, I assume I shouldn't overwrite any of my .mdb files in order to keep my own inputted data (new stars/stations/etc)

Dont overwrite your .mdb to keep it for V1.41. I suggest to rename your old folder of TCE, like TCE.old, install a new TCE folder and copy EliteOCR folder, the DB folder and TCE.ini from your old TCE folder.

Hi Eventure,

I am sincerely grateful for the effort you make in creating this app. However I am somewhat confused with the database compatibility. I remember the earlier ones you made has a built-in feature that makes the existing database compatible with the new versions. However it seems there is no such feature anymore. I have been using tce since version 1.33 and have encountered heartaches along the way, where I have to restart the database from scratch. It seems as of now, I have to dump the database I saved in 1.39.

Hi Eventure

I am still running TCE v1.39f for reasons which are not important - just not been able to play Elite recently. You say the 1.39f TCE database is no longer compatible with v1.41. Does this mean I have to first install v1.40 and then 1.41 to upgrade TCE for Powerplay?

Everything is included in the 1.41 release, I imagine it just means, any data you put in yourself while on 1.39 will be lost (prices for example)

hi gents

sorry to sound a bit dumb here but i have only just found out about this....will this save me having my tablets set up with trade tools ect?
and does the 1.41 latest installer version do everything for me?....i.e install it and just play as normal?

or should i go back to the 1st page and do exactly what his instructions say to do?



any help appreciated......this looks simply amazing.

this is standalone with an overlay so you don't need any other device (or to switch screens) to view the data.

But, unlike for example Slopeys excellent tool, the data isn't crowd sourced so it only records where you have been and prices etc you enter.

If if you do go ahead an install, please do read Yokai's guide in the first post - it's very useful for initial setup!

Checked the compability of V1.39 databases again, and your database is still usable. TCE will add the needed requirements for the actual version. Will change the note asap. I though, i wiped the fixes from TCE, but i did not.
V1.40 was a big step in case of database changes and addons. This will not happen again in the near future.

I want to release a Database Manager for so long, but other things came in between. But its not off the table.

Hello,

the installer copies all files to the right place, but you have to configure TCE, to work with ED. At that point, you have to read the first page for instructions and to handle TCE. Yokai's guide is a good companion in using/installing TCE, so i suggest, you read it. For all others, the community and me willingly help you.

- Activities Tab, editing the inner system location is not working.
An alternate input is possible but upon saving it reverts back to the original value.

- Activities Tab, editing an activity note is not working correctly.
Example: Original Text: “Got killed by Cmdr. Jones”; Intended Edit: “Got killed by the b-a-s-t-a-r-d Cmdr. Jones” Result: “Got killed by Cmdr. Jones=================================

Adding a new Station

- If I am adding a station inflight and add the correct sector after docking the compact UI (haven’t tested the other one) won’t let me access the commodity tab (red).

Found the problem. Will be fixed in next release.

Found the problem. Will be fixed in next release. Until then, you should enter the stations when landed/in sector.

i can confirm this behaviour, it's exactly the same on my end. old panel display mode is working as intended, though. the new panel display mode reacts a bit faster, i think.
switching back and forth between the two modes a few times let TCE become freezing / unstable.

For my example I used trading (tsame smuggling etc). But I think I found out what is happening. For example my added text is
“I was ripped off”
My initial entry looks like this.

After I hit save it looks like this.

Note the ==== line marked red, after every subsequent change the line will be added after the last character of the original note.

I'm sure somewhere in the 189 pages this might have been answered buy good god going though all those pages. Simply I've installed the new version with the installer into the ED folder also ran the setup and its auto found the two paths that it is required to find. Also I've setup the whole excel thing for it to work and load up properly, although when I start up ED and then this program it all loads and everything but nothing works, in the "Current Status" section it says Please enter the game and well I'm in the game..lol. So maybe someone can enlighten me as to what I've screwed up or have forgotten to do.
