Was online doing missions fine. Got a couple of unable to retrieve mission data and I've now just been booted off the server completely.
probably will be up and down,, just think of it as beta testing if you can log in., and theyre working on it, wait for a offical announcement from the Mods. theyre about, sure they will say when its all sorted out.
after playin 30min i went out and wanted to relogin so i can use my new painting.

Ive done 100 bulletin board missions over the weekend and I advanced to king rank.How did I cheat? I did mining,charity,combat and delivery missions. I had no bugs nor trouble when I did that,why should I be penalized because somebody lost rank?I was earl before 1.3 and also did alot of bb missions before.

Well mate you are wrong. I go to work everyday for 8 hours except Saturday and Sunday. I do the groceries, keep my home clean, spend time with my friends and in between play ED or some other games. But i think that though i am only at the age of 30 yet i am a grown up man and can estimate unplanned problems that can occur everywhere. I bet my pants that though they announced a time when there servers are up and did not stick to it Fdev is doing all they can to get the things back up as quick as possible.
I guess you have a wife or a girlfriend? How often have you heard that she is ready in 10 minutes and took longer? You don't have to answer if that was too personal but i guess you'll get my point.

i dont believe their will be much lost if you read the past mod replies.
might not be in the same system, but will be nearby, within 5 jumps of last location,, may have lost Rank, that is unfortunate, but not the rank level,, so might have to do 2 or 3 rank up missions and level up to where you were,, rank is lost not the ammount of rank

I too just lost my rank of King. So I spent half of the weekend to advance the ranks in the Empire, that gets reset, the other half I spend in vain trying to get any Federation rank mission to spawn. And now I am back to square one when 1.3 released. I'll contact CS, yeah.
Regarding Ranks - please read the above guys. You only lost the name of the rank, not your progress towards that rank.
