Powerplay cycle is out a day early

Sorry, for this question but why did not you deliver them yesterday?

well I had been grinding for hours in a hostile system. It had got to 4am and my ship was 15 jumps from one of my powers control systems, so, I thought, get some sleep, come back on today, fly back "home", hand them in and go head back out for some more seeing as I should of had at least until tomorrow morning/afternoon.

I doubt that it is possible. The cycles have already switched, the galaxy state has changed and a lot of players have already performed power specific actions. More harm will be done if the cycle is reversed.

I think you seriously underestime how invested some people got into powerplay. There was some serious time invested into this, and seeing it fall apart because the system didnt work properly shouldn't be ignored. We are not talking about a few people losing a few credits here. People have been working for a week for their power.

question is does anything less than 2 days show up as 1 day , i lost a bucketload of merit vouchers (didn't know that was a side effect as well) should be in the description for the voucher that it needs to be redeemed within cycle.

its not really a bug

The cycle did trigger a day earlier than expected, however there is still much discussion as to how long a cycle should be. We'll have more data once more cycles have completed.

Michael

You guys don't even agree with one another, and you both work for the same company.

Second, if you didn't figure out how long cycles should have been in beta, why did you release PP from beta?

This whole thing is unfinished.

So you are saying that people who invested in PP earlier are more important then those who have invested in PP today? What has fallen apart? What could have been changed in 1 day that was not done during the whole week?

Because it was something that was NOT possible to test in Beta. The cycles were switched manually each 2-3 days. If we would have a real-scale beta test then it should have lasted for 1 month.

So, where's my 50M?

If you were rating 1 at the end of the cycle then your reward is 1000 Cr.

Why are the merits we earned but haven't yet turned in invalidated on cycle? This is hugely disappointing.

Read the statements it was a bug that the cycles have switched one day earlier. It did not happen as intended.
Expectation is that merits shown in transactions work like all the other transactions and won't vanish. This gives us the freedom to work far from home systems and not spend 45 minutes commuting in inefficient ships like a real job.
If they're going to just disappear if not turned in, they need to have a timer on them like the new bounties

Yes I would argue that, because 6 days > a few hours.

For example Archon was sabotaged over night to expand to a negative income system.

Thanks a lot for this. /s

I just lost almost 300 vouchers, because I had to get up early today, and didn't think I'd have to rush to turn in stuff last night.

The merits that you did not deliver do not carry over to the next cycle.

This could have happened at any time, e.g. late today.

You say it wasn't possible, and then you suggest exactly what should have happened with a patch of this size.

One month of beta testing.

Sorry, it was extremely possible, and this cycle thing isn't the only thing that needed more time testing.

To actually say that more beta testing wasn't "possible" is ridiculous.
Man what a statement!

Pretty clear on that now. -1000 when i logged in. Someone else lost 2300+. That's hours of work(maybe days) for those of us who can't use the cheesy fast track option(sry bros, but it is cheeZ). At least drop us a credit compensation. If it's to prevent banking creds , what of it? One of us can reach rank 5 for a week, maybe 2? )

One month of beta testing is definitely not possible. Beta testing means that those who test it do not play the main game.
