I never understood why they rushed PP out of beta. Almost everyone agreed it needed more testing, yet Frontier had seemingly set a hard release date (+/- a few days). Coming out a week or two later would not have hurt normal players, and it would have saved a lot of upset from all the inevitable bugs.
Frontier have achieved a lot with ED, given their limited man power, but they really don't do themselves any favours by planning on stuff being released before there is any proof that it's ready. We can pretty much predict that after each major release there will be a week of heavy patching. With PP being such a major update, I'm expecting more like two weeks of heavy patching. If we can predict all that patching, why can't Frontier?

I was doing something actually useful, i.e. delivering reports to ensure my power prepared a system instead of another power. That is 1 merit per report (10 per half hour).
Undermining existing systems (by killing for 15 merits each) isn't that useful at this stage (if ever, since undermining is easily cancelled). I believe it's also a lot harder (although I haven't tried myself - I had been planning to before the cycle ended unexpectedly).
