A Lavigny-Duval Cycle Two Target Discussion

I imagine that Guathiti is people deliberately trying to sabotage us (or simply laziness due to its proximity to our capitol), given that its now the second cycle and most people have presumably figured out how this works by now. Still there is now less than 1000 gap between Guathiti and AB Pictoris, so keep pushing and it will hopefully be off the top spot soon.

Guathiti being Prepared is seriously a Bad Thing; it's going to / is already diverting precious resources away from other more worthy goals.

You're correct though, it is so close, just 599 between them at my last count:

I've done a bunch of runs between Delta Doradus and AB Pictoris tonight in my Clipper, heading back out for another now, so will certainly keep pushing.

Vodyanes is also not far off 1000 behind Pereasii, that would also be a good place to haul Corruption Reports to tonight for those interested in helping secure our Preparation List :)

VAKA has a crime sweep now, and expansion is already 27% complete.

but CARVERDA, LAKLUITA and LUTNI still are on 0% so these systems need to be confirmed.

I will now check LAKLUITA.
If someone is close to the others, please take a look and report.

Update: LAKLUITA has crime sweeps. I will start expansion!

Update: LAKLUITA expansion started : 2% (20/831)

OK this is really encouraging all, AB Pictoris is at Number 1 :)

Vodyanes is now up to only 878 behind Peraesii.

Great work everyone! If we can press on just a bit more we can consolidate the lead at AB, and inch past Peraesii too!

I threw what I had for AB. 2 nominations. Was that the correct thing to do or should I have spread that around a bit?

Nominations are either bugged or useless right now, so you can't really go wrong with them.
They give you 1 extra prep point per nomination.

Updated main post with some new candidate and explanations on why to stop prepping some.
Now is the time to mention other systems before we prep other ones too much.

Thank you!

Please continue to keep us updated...this thread and the people in it are whats making this game fun for me...I would not know where to start and go unless I came here first.

This crap is so broken. I've stolen/delivered over 50 Toval Deeds from Kaliki to oppose her expansion...the stats still say 0. Also, when I turned in the most recent batch, it didn't show the others I already turned in on the completion screen. I don't know if I should bother to keep trying.

Good progress is being made at pushing the bad systems off the Preparation List:

Peraesii has been knocked down to 5th place, and AB is racing ahead.

Thumbs up to all the Clippers, Cobras and DBEs that I saw out there helping, and the one's that I didn't happen to see. I even saw a CMDR in an Anaconda which for me was amazing to see. Teamwork is going to win us this and we have it!

Why Prepare these Systems?

  • AB Pictoris, and Nagi are located in High-Yield regions on our immediate frontiers, in directions away from rival Powers: We should consolidate our natural borders as a priority.
  • Ngarawe, HIP 23157, and Bellaung should be taken in order to contain Aisling’s beachhead at Cartoi.
  • Vodyanes offers a mix of benefits, particularly its strategic location.
  • All of these Systems are sound investments, and relatively inaccessible to our rivals; Hard for them to reach, easy for us to protect.
  • Taking these systems should not be seen as threatening to other Imperial Powers, hopefully reducing tensions (Imperial Non-Attrition).

We must take these High-Yield frontier Systems, or we are at risk of them falling to our rivals.
We cannot allow rival Powers to establish more enclaves and beachheads in our midst!
We need to be focused, and not allow unsuitable Preparation Candidates into the Top Ten.
We must not be hobbled by poorly located, low-yield Systems in the List again.

8-chars.

VAKA has a crime sweep now, and expansion is already 27% complete.

Shows at 53% for us and 41% Under Threat from Denton.

No Crime Sweeps visible on my map, just two Military Strike locations. Dropped in to both of them this morning and lots of Denton's armed forces there. Do we just go in, align with 'None' and kill them?

Vaka? Please don't turn it into another Cartoi!

The expansion in Vaka is not in the interests of ADL nor the the majority of her supporters. It is more of a grab by a group or "club" of bounty hunters aligned to her. For "sentimental" reasons.

For Imperial solidarity, cease hostilities there and let Denton Patreus have Vaka.

I don't have that much time right now, but I will go to Guathiti and investigate.

Perhaps I can talk to some commanders and send them to more benefical systems.

Transmission received.

Was holding a monitoring position until more information was gathered. Breaking off.

Once everything else is competed and the expansions are looking secure, then people can make there own choice if they which to assist the Elite Dangerous club to secure Vaka.

Since we've already spent the CC, not successfully expanding it now is an even greater long term loss. However the other expansions and especially prep tasks to push the weak systems off the top 10 will should take precedence over Vaka.

The EDC pushed hard to prep Vaka against the majority opinion, now they need to prove they can secure it without our help.
