Not sure about OP, but Anaconda has given me the most fun since I parked up the Cobra. Took me 3 months from purchase to mostly maxed out, and now I am enjoying the other elements of the game at my own pace.
Credits - Am I doing it wrong?

It don't matter. If FD adds a massive absurdly expensive battleship (see 50 billion cr) people will demand to earn500 million/hour. If you cannot get the most expensive thing fast there 'is no progress'.

Thats utter . Most ppl here agree that making money is way to easy. If it where any easier most wouldn't bother to play it ....

Yeah I had an Anaconda within three weeks of getting the game, but I've spent way more time playing since then mostly in it. Doing every role with it.

To be fair, hopefully by that point there is a way to earn a substantial amount of credits. The running costs for such a thing will be extraordinary.
I mostly started this thread because I wasn't sure if I was earning the amount of credits I should be considering the ship I am using. I am not too terribly bothered if this is as fast as it gets. But yeah, 'Conda is spensive...

This game really isnt about making as many credits as fast as you can.... Its all about fun...........As long as you are enjoying what you are doing then all is well as long as you make enough to keep doing what you like (Fuel,Ammo,Cargo ect......)
I don't see why you're all ripping into the poor guy, you all talk about how the old elite did this and how the new elite does that and how we shouldn't be allowed to earn s tonnes of money, and blah blah blah, if this were real life and I earnt stupid amounts an hour to get something I wanted within a week, would you tell me I need to stop earning so much? its his choice to "ruin the game" for himself in your opinions, I don't see why you can't just say "Oh wow, thats amazing well done, however I don't see myself progressing like that because I'm 40 with a family but congrats, you're earning tonnes of credits and I admire you" other than "YOU SHOULDN'T PLAY LIKE THAT HUR DUR THE GAEM IS SUPPOSED TO BE PLAEID 4 YEARS!!!!!111!!" It's ing pathetic.
OP, I'm absolutely amazed at the route you're doing, and I'm hoping to get and asp soon after my type 6, might even get an explorer and mess with that a little in between. Do share your secrets.

All I did was trade at first, never shot at another ship until I did have it, but then I bought a viper to go practice. I couldn't play all day though, have a 9-5 job. I did get to put a fair amount of time in on weekends, when I got my Type 9 I made 70 million that weekend and then got to upgrade myself to the Anaconda.
With the cash I have now, I could probably get an Anaconda if I parted out the type - 9. Not sure if I should though.

I just did 6-7 trade runs every day and then either climbed into another ship or went to do something else. Think long term, 6 million cr per day over a couple months adds up.
What's the big rush? Sure it took me 6 months to get Elite Trader instead of 3 like Changtau and 1% but I still have my sanity. You're almost there anyway, once you get to T9 it's just a matter of going slow and steady and not screwing up and setting yourself back.
Once you get enough dough I would ditch the T9. The Anaconda only hauls 10% less cargo but does it faster, safer, and when you get Elite or tire of trading you can refit it for another role.

You don't solve problems by ignoring them. As he said in his first or second post in this thread, "you're already making too much. people shouldn't be allowed to make so much money."
The real problem is that Developers listen to people like him, and the game can only get worse.
That's what I did, I spent a lot more time trading in one. In general my opinion is the Anaconda is a superior trader, unless it's a one jump route for the Type 9.
Yeah I know, as I said earlier I just needed a little cry lol. Getting to the T-9 reminds me of the powerbar episode of The Simpsons, when Homer climbs up onto what he thinks is the summit only to look up and see the mountain disappear into the stratosphere!

I am very tempted. All I will need to do is fill the hull with cargo, the rest can stay stock for now. I would be more willing to spend the credits upgrading a 'Conda than I would a T-9.
it's a lot more maneuverable, and you can get 452 cargo with a 4 class shield.
