Good luck CMDR!
If your Hauler time is anything to go by then you'll smash my Asp record. I'm curious to see how well you can do compared to the Anacondas.
I'm pretty sure that I could get my time down to about 10h, maybe a little faster with 1.3 updates. Anything much faster than that would put you out of my reach.
I managed 0 minutes of trading before jumping in the Asp and taking her for a spin...so I have some initial impressions. Firstly, it isn't very manoeuvrable with small, light thrusters which makes precision scooping interesting...
Of course, I started out with the 8+2 fuel tank combo, and all I can say is that anyone taking that all the way to Sag A* has my respect! I am not even 100% sure it will make 2 full range jumps, and if it did, you may need to scoop pretty damn quickly as you will be sucking down fumes! I ran roughly 8 kylies and had to re-plot twice as I didn't have enough fuel for a second jump at a brown dwarf.
So, 8+4 might make more sense as you have a little bit of breathing room if you don't scoop perfectly, but then I wonder if the std 12T tank makes more sense to get you over the occasional double unscoopable. You will have a slow refill afterwards but that is quicker than potentially 2 re-plots. Things for me to test over the coming weeks
Finally, to state the bleedin' obvious, an A6 scoop is essential for a quick time. It would be possible to be fast with a B6, but I was flying the very fine line of being pulled into the star trying to max out the scoop, and then working hard trying to balance the heat to get efficient use of the FSD. I had
lots of sparks during the first hour... It would require a lot of concentration for the whole run and isn't conducive to getting a smooth, efficient rhythm going.
Raiko, are you seeing any performance issues when you open the GalMap? I am still getting one processor core pretty much maxing out when I view anywhere near the centre of the map
