i will be very upset if this game is a small app game!!! i want it to be epic!! rollercoaster tycoon 3 on steriods!! please dont dumb it down to work on a phone or some lame tablet.
I'm totally with you on this one.. Especially given that we've been waiting nearly a decade for this...
AND that Atari did it and everyone backlashed Atari for it lol their forum is dead, people don't like companies that don't listen to them. It was suicide. No one talks about the upcoming RCT for Nintendo 3D with good reason.
Were not entitled to anything. Frontier is going to create whatever they want to create, in general their going to create what they think will maximum profit. As much as we want the next great coaster sim game they cannot cater to the 1% crowd.
I do look forward to seeing the game and hearing some more details about it. I want what you guys want but we should be understanding if it doesn't fulfill your every dream.

Right off the bat - Variety, and Realism, that is KEY!
Don't have any of those 'fantasy' rides, I don't like those, nobody really does. Also, never, EVER, make themed rides the base rides, make them customizable, so the USER can make it themed!
Lets start off with a carousel for instance, There should be about 5 different sizes,
a TINY kiddie 2 row carousel for Kids Only -
A small Allan Hercshell carousel, also with 2 rows, but with horses suitable for adults -
A medium Dentzel 3 row carousel,
A Large 4 row PTC carousel :
and a Double Decker Carousel :
This may seem like a lot, but really, it's not, if you really look at it from a modeling perspective, it's just increasing in size. Have the customization to color the carousels, potentially change styles in horses and rounding boards, and all that.
Remember, have THESE types of carousels, make it realistic, the carousel of all rides, needs to have THE MOST detail!
Also remember the band organ music
I have an abundance of this music recorded from REAL band organs, and would be more than happy to share. (This kind of music is my hobby)
Now, let's look at the Ferris Wheel.
Kiddie rides again aren't really apparent in RCT games,
so let's see this one if at all possible :
Now, this one is essential, The small, but ever so common Eli Ferris Wheel :
Then a medium Ferris wheel :
Now you go big, but not TOO big! -
Also, remember the spin offs of the Ferris Wheel!
The Double Ferris Wheel :
The Sky Diver :
The OTHER kind of Double Ferris Wheel!

You're about a year and a half late - the game is more or less finished at this point.

I still do mod RCT2, I hope this game could still have a GENUINE carousel added, not one of those cheap ones like they had in RCT3, there's always expansion packs too, and again, I do have royalty free sound for the carousel.
The preview on pocketgamer is out... I don't know what to think about it...
I am utterly dissapointed
I've read some very high expectations, many of them I believe are extreme.
But I do agree on a very good theme park designer, even if we are just 1%.

There is a new theme park game coming out next year. I'm not going to get too excited yet because Coaster Crazy was not what I expected, but there might be hope. Here's the exact message that was in the forum. Make sure to watch the preview on youtube.
