Why are people whining about having to buy an XB version?
Beta backers do not give a whit about providing feedback. They don't care about testing. It's just an advance ticket to the new stuff for them, and a chance to wave that ticket in front of everyone else.
I demand that Frontier give me an XBox One so that I can play this new content. I gave them forty pounds, goddammit, and I've only had a couple of hundred hours of game time out of it. Who do they think they are?

I completely agree with you. I enjoy PVP/Co-op a lot, but it is only because I've exhausted the number of things to do alone. The game's background simulation and overall NPC mechanics are still very much barebones and bland, IMO.Meh, doesn't affect my regular play...so, I'm good.
The response here is as expected and slightly warranted.
In the very short term we will all be playing CQC, if you choose to. I do wish the next update to ED wasn't yet again about multiplayer, though. Wings, Powerplay and CQC are all fairly cooperative or PvP focused. I'm really dying to see a major update the core bits of the game...NPC crews, customizable HUD (in-game), hire-able pilot NPCs, broader weapons selection, asteroid bases, shipyards...and so so much more.
Can you confirm Michael that CQC is a different mode of play to open and this is NOT 1.4It will be released as a free update for PC and Mac later in the year.

I have to admit I'm kind of guilty of that. At first, I was beta testing, but all my tickets just got a reply saying "this is how it's supposed to be", and I stopped sending in tickets. Now I don't actually beta test, but use it to have a look at new ships I haven't got to yet in the main game. If Frontier would be willing to, I would happily give up my beta testing status so someone else who will beta test, can have it (but how do you know they will actually beta test?)Beta backers do not give a whit about providing feedback.
