ED XBO Beta available to XBox One Preview today

This is a classic case of FD being dammed if they do and dammed if they don't (again).
:
FD announces CQC launching on PC -> forum rages about hating PvP, not wanting PvP, game being dumbed down for PvP, HOTAS being unfair etc.
:

FD announces CQC launching on XBOne and coming soon (tm) to PC -> forum rages about not getting PvP first.
:
The only thing FD could have done is not create the CQC/PvP content in the first place. In fact the only thing FD can do to avoid criticism is nothing, then they'd get criticised for doing nothing......

The internet is full of idiots

This ^^^^ +1 rep sir

But what about the future? what if , once the game has pushed the Xbox to the limit (not very hard) will it just stop , and no one gets to evolve? what if the Xbox gets tones of new stuff and PC gets nothing
I would point you to other games that stared on PC and branched out. IE, World of tanks, Awesomenauts, ect,

Generally the console version stagnates compared to the PC version. PC is simply easier to develop for, and a more reliable way to make money. It always seems that when games branch to consoles, its a way for a company to get an easy cash grab on a game that's assets already exist. and giving them an "extra feature" generates excitement, Dont sweat it mate.

Not too sure about this.. World of Tanks specifically introduced quite a few additions to the WoT XBOX experience that have yet to make it to the PC. Weather/Day cycles, new maps, and active recognitions (now in PC).

and compare it to what the PC gets on a reuglar basis. We get patches sooner, more updates. A better ballance of tanks. Really weather and day night cycle are mostly superfical. neat to look at but overall unnecessary.

The PC version certainly gets the long end of the stick

Seriously,

Of all the things that could be locked to the XBOX exclusive this the Arena Combat isn't something that will annoy me them having to themselves for a while.

But I'll definitely give it a shot when it comes to PC.

So I don't get all the anger!

That said, can we get back to giving me ship naming now please?

Personally, I don't see myself trying it as I've been entirely unimpressed with PvP so far in this game. That, and I avoid PvP because ship builds that are viable in PvP are no fun in PvE.

But I agree with the rest of your points entirely. Have some rep.

Well said. So many other examples can be giving also.
People what their cake and eat it to, then cry about only getting cake.
Internet = forum

No coming to Xbox1 is not a problem.
CQC is not a problem.
Giving invited Xbox1 Beta-test-users exclusive access is not a problem.
FD working on another title may be or become one.
The current way, releasing "new" updates no one wanted, before fixing bugs definitely is a big problem.
The new interface and controls could become a problem.
Earning some money and develop that elite, FFE nearly was and a big community is waiting for, would really be nice.

When we are super optimistic, there is a chance, that the universe has a future of roleplaying PvP, where the competitive and aggressive PvP stays in the Arena. Where bugs have to be patched on the following Wednesday, where our wishes come true.

They aren't just merging angry threads, they are merging any an all threads, even ones debating aspects of CQC not explained in the trailer, which is poor form on Frontier part.

They're trying to merge them so people lose track of threads and so that the big thread becomes so convoluted with all the pulls that people tired themselves out trying to follow the different thought lines. Then, within a few weeks, all that remains are posts about people content with the game.

Yup, not the first time it's happened, not by a long shot. They really don't handle critisism well.

The CQC is exactly the kind of exclusive i was hoping for the xbox, because i couldn't care less to wait a few months for it.

I'm very surprised about all this fuss about it from others pc/mac players. I'dhave expected the forum to rise only for some more serious content.

Its a trailer, its not meant to provide any detailed info. Its basically an advertisement or preview.

CQC will be tested by absolute noobs. This means their feedback will be worthless, when it comes to balance or game experience. It will only be new user experience feedback, and while it's interesting, it's far from being the most important thing in a PvP module.
Eh, it's not like they pay much attention to us old timers anyway. *points to huge list of balance complaints and unfixed bugs.*

Well... I'm not a backer, and while I like PvP, it's not my whole life or anything like that. CQC looks cool but I don't care if I can play it later or not.

This being said, I can easily understand why so many people are angry. First off, CQC will be tested by absolute noobs. This means their feedback will be worthless, when it comes to balance or game experience. It will only be new user experience feedback, and while it's interesting, it's far from being the most important thing in a PvP module.

Beta backers do not give a whit about providing feedback. They don't care about testing. It's just an advance ticket to the new stuff for them, and a chance to wave that ticket in front of everyone else.
