just a quick question here.... If they can play with a silver xbox live account (I assume this to be a free account essentially) but can only play SOLO, then does that mean unless they upgrade to a gold account (I am assuming this is a subscription account) they won't be able to play the CQC content?
So essentially if they want to play in OPEN they need to have a gold account... Is this also going to happen in the windows PC version where we will be required to pay to play in open?

Silver is a free account - as with other multiplayer titles on Xbox One you need to have a Gold Live account to play multiplayer. This does not affect the PC version.

Just kidding, can't wait to see it go live on PC and give it a whirl. try not to take too long about it, although presume MS have you tied to some sort of duration based agreement on this one.
That one thing that isn't true this generation, Sony and Microsoft are clamoring over each other to get exclusives onto their systems. There hasn't been a better time for small publishers to take these big guys for every penny they have and to force their original ideas on to consoles, even big publishers like EA are look to diversify their lineup away from pow pow and instant gratification, games like Unravel which has gain a bit of a following at E3.

so from that i understand that the xbone can test it at the beginning of july, while we get it at the end (thats where the summer holidays start in germany)
It says holiday 2015. I guess the *speculation* is that is December. But it could be closer to 5 months than 6 depending on July release date.

"Holiday" for game companies normally means in time for US Thanksgiving, although as it's a European country it could mean in time for Christmas instead. If they meant June-July-August, they would have said "Summer".

The game in its PC form wouldn't be well recieved by Xbox reviews once they play for more than a few hours and hit that inch depth. Even most PC reviews agree it is marred by the of lack of content, unimaginitive missions, grinding gameplay, and insufficient diversity in the universe, particularly man made areas.

Could it possibly be that they think that they are obfuscating, and that some people will not understand what they have been told? Really, guys, it is hard to imagine how your PR could be worse. Some (at least) of us are big boys and quite grown up. Straight talking is nearly always best.
Given that I have no real interest in CQC, I am not agitated about the loss of the promised 'first go'. Nevertheless FD PR have made a pigs ear 'ole of this yet again. We knew there was going to an XBox version, and we knew there was going to be exclusive content. So why didn't they make a nice clear statement that "there will be exclusive content for the Xbox (and for the PS4 when that comes), but those are on-off exceptions to the PC getting it first". Again some (at least) of us are big boys and quite grown up. Straight talking is nearly always best. Letting it come out in dribs and drabs, in a manner where not everyone sees it, so there is more outrage everytims another group stumbles across the information, is just stupid.

We should read it as 'for Christmas'. It thus could be Nov or Dec - does it really matter at the moment? It is months away. Presumably the deal with Microsoft was for a 6 month exclusivity, but we don't really know when the clock started ticking. If they meant June or July or August, they should have said, you know, June or July or August. It is a deliberate attempt to obfuscate (even if it will be clear to the Americans). FD's PR is truly awful. They have not got a clue.
Well "Holiday" is American for Christmas as someone pointed out. Though there are other American holidays prior to then.
Perhaps someone at FD would be kind enough to confirm so the full backlash may begin in earnest!
I agree with the post upthread that suggests FD have probably got their hands tied on this one - let's be realistic they aren't the senior partner in FD/MS negotiations.
Does seem a shame though that most of the dedicated PVPers - who would probably welcome this with open arms and many of them are beta backers - have to wait till then end of the year - if that is indeed the case..

Yeah, I really want to know if I will have to wait until christmas for CQC or if it will come sooner. Holiday is a very vague term.
