I could tell thousand times that there won't be any ED news after XBO and CGC. It was quite obvious.

I personally enjoy game, just played few hours yesterday and it was fun every moment. I feel that we need really cool down a bit in our expectations of soon delivery. And as you aid, there's tons of other space games to check out now, so...

Don't expect that to happen at E3. Their goal was to delver XBO port and news about CQC. David post stated it clearly.

NMS won't come to PC for long time. It's PS4 timed exclusive for at least 6 - 8 months.

Give it a rest Bromander. It´s just getting embarrassing - the whole expansion future plan thing was a gag to get people to buy the game now instead of sometime in the future. It worked, money flowing in, mission accomplished. Now let´s make a rollercoaster simulation. Play Elite as it is or take break until new content, tons of other games to play in between, Frontier won´t care of you play or not since you already own a copy.

I feel pretty sorry for David, totally flubbed that one - oh well, never mind.

As for the new rollercoaster game, when I saw people talking about Planet Coaster my immediate reaction was that they'd somehow combined the rollercoaster and elite engines into a single game. I was going to post that that would be like George Lucas making Star Grafitti, a film about american high school kids driving hotrods around the deathstar to the music of Bill Haley, or Speilberg making Schindlers Shark, a film about a great white helping hundreds of hammerheads to escape from a concentration camp. Thankfully, it just looks like a cool new rollercoaster game. Phew.

If I were a shareholder of FD I would be glad about that announcement. Making a new rollercoaster game means that the company is returning to projects they understand and can actually handle.

Yeah. Definition of "soon" is not always the same for the one saying it and the audience it is being said to.

Anyway. With how FDev is communicating. The "major announcement" is likely that CQC will be out for PC in December.

A lot of angst would have been saved if they'd said:

'Guys, we'll have news on the first paid expansion'.

Or.

'Guys, we'll have some Elite news, but it won't be the expansion news just yet'.

Cos lets face it, we were all hoping for the unveiling of the expansion. It might still happen, but I doubt it.
