Ah, not really. I passed through it on my initial swing out along the arm. I am approximately 1,500ly away from NGC 3199 Nebula, in the sparsely populated area between the two arms. May finally be able to cross over today. I found a potential planetary nebula a couple days ago of which I screenshotted to save the name and what it looked like but I have not been able to search for the damn thing. Doesn't want to find anything even remotely related.

I've been noticing the searches on the galaxy map will often show up the wrong system, even if the correct one is named.
EG - Typing in Hypo Thetical c-32 G99-0 will go through every single "Hypo Thetical c-32 G99-x" system, except the one I'm looking for... Is that what's happening for you?
I'm going to file a bug report, but trying to figure out if there is a pattern...

I tried a few different names. Couldn't get any response from the query. I'm only approximately 3kly away though. I will try again soon.

Have you tried the old fashioned way? Search the skybox for the Planetary Nebula, and basically pick the star on the galaxy map that takes you int he right general direction, then plot a route that way - or follow a straight line on the galaxy map to the nebula.
I'm presuming you can see it, and that's how you found it - unless you stumbled on it messing around in the galaxy map?

I know the feeling. I wasn't crazy about the Johnny Cash tune they used for the trailer, but I am very exciting about this. Plenty to time to do stuff in Elite until MEA lands.

Yeah, EA (or BioWare in this case I guess) choose some odd music choices for their trailers. I have to listen to it all damn day sometimes and even though I can tune out the Sims 4 music, it still gets annoying.
The DA:I Trailer is always nice to listen to, though.
Started creating my database of visited planets at work. Have 101 entries so far.
Going back through some of these entries is almsot as exciting as when I discovered them! I can't believe how many of these extreme-condition worlds are TFC. I'm really happy that my single-island Water World is a TFC as well, because I might get to live on it one day!

It's good fun having it. I was just watching and chatting with you in your stream. Had your travels on one monitor and mine on my main. It'd be good if you had the ability to talk to people while doing that kind of thing as well.

Good chattin' with ya! I actually use a really cheap laptop that I salvaged from my job as a second monitor, haha. It's ghetto, but it works. Certainly safer than alt-tabbing to chat on the twitch page.
