For example it would be great to have an endpoint to query that gives the current factions and standings. This would be great to integrate into our Slack bot to provide a weekly standings update.

If not would you have a problem with me pulling the JSON once a week to aggregate it?

I'm Alliance, because they give me the best perks for trading, which is in character for my CMDR. If it were me personally, I'd join Pranav Antal's Utopia. Though, for a Utopia I've noticed they do attack me for no reason quite a lot. Especially given we're at opposite sides of the inhabited galaxy.

firstly i powerplay because i like the idea i fancy arissa think aisling is cute but went for zamina for business reasons she fits my style of play
but cynically i wonder how many would have joined the alliance if they had a (excuse terminology but im going to say it) fit bird fronting them instead of that guy out of blakes 7 yeah blakey that him lolol ive partly answered this question before i start but not every one thinks that much if i fought for arissa id let her down because i cant shoot straight

In all seriousness though, I very nearly pledged to the Alliance. If I wasn't here now, I'd be either pledged to Edmund Mahon or Felicia Winters.

There's no back-end server. I was going to build one out but the volume of data just isn't worth it.

I did, however, put the data in to separate files. So you can pull them with e.g. http://www.powerplayreport.com/data/antal.json. The data files are:

Powerplay: Preparation systems

I am kinda confused about the systems that enter the Top 10. So far my power has 6 systems listed for preparations, I'd like to see one interesting system, I brought 5 dozens of plans to prepare it, when I check the system on the map, my 50+ plans are recorded but the system still doesn't appear in the Top 10. Is there a hourly update or do I have to do something else to see it listed? TIA

Take a while to update.
I've logged out and back in to refresh it.
Someone was talking about deleting a file to force it to refresh, but I haven't tried that yet.

So I can't wrap my head around the current state of federation space. Hudson is currently slaughtering his way through fed space. Why? why is he killing federation defence forces with his PMC navy? He is invading fed systems. There is nothing in galnet about it. There appears to be some sort of civil war going on. Anybody enlighten me as to what is happening to the federation. Can we get some FD explanaition here? pls

How are you coming to this conclusion?

For context, pledgers to Hudson *can't* kill ships belonging to Winters, they'll suffer a -10 merit penalty, so that's not really possible.

math incorrect. my numbers suggest NO decay from merits earned last week, then decay as before on merits earned.

week 1: earned 1600 or so, carryover as 1890 (think this is where they fudged the normal value, once, to account for early ending and the fact that vouchers not handed in weren't counted)
week 2: earned 1000, previous carryover 1890 for total of 2890
week 3: carryover value 1945 (100% of last weeks earned, plus 1/2 of the 1890 earned in week 1)

What this model suggests to me is that merits earned don't decay until 2 cycles, or a full calendar cycle from the end date, which, TBH, is not what any of us expected.

Freelancer's numbers also check out with my model as well.

Edit- it also suggests the merits "EARNED" decay model, not that silly accumulating 'get 1250 to maintain rating 5' model that was tossed around so much.
