So, what are the exciting E3 announcements?

I think people are making a conspiracy theory out of this, I just think he lost his train of thought, nothing more.
exactly. all the other interviews were different, just the one on stage was...well...weird.
but that can happen, nothing wrong there, no reason for conspiracies like "ED is dead"

http://www.twitch.tv/twitch/v/6281592 The DB bit starts at 01:12:15 with the Xbox One/CQC trailer.

That was a really good interview and demo of the game. Hopefully, lots of Xbox players will have got to see that, and spread the word.

I think CQC will be a hit if it's as fun as the trailer hints. I'll look out for YouTube videos of it when it goes live to check it out, and hopefully return to the game myself when it goes live for us PC player at the end of the year.

I thought Mad Max was KILLER! Got to have it. I just need a small caliber pistol, a shotgun, and a baseball bat. Besides the car. :D

You get a dog too, apparently.

This is THE game for me by the looks of things. Open world, dystopian steampunk/cyberpunk mix, car battles in an open desert. It's what Elite should have been, only set in a desert.

Can't wait. I really hope they don't screw this game up. Witchier 3, Fallout 4, and Mad Max equals the winter game batch for me right now. :D

If the story and setting is as nonsensical as the one in Fallout 3... then it won't. :D

Edit: Oops, I completely mixed that up in my head and somehow thought this was about Fallout 4. That is all your fault, FuzzySpider, you and your enthusiasm for that game which clashes so violently with my total indifference due to the very things I just linked to. :D

imo the oculus rift CV1 info was pretty damn exciting.

Also personally I think both Sony AND MS knocked it out of the park this E3.

MS have backwards compatibility, Forza 6, Halo 5, Gears remastered and of course Elite

Sony have the new game from team ICO, that mech dinosaur game and a few others.

and we all have ARK, Fallout 4, Doom and tombraider and a whole bunch of stuff (I will defo be checking out project solus as well!)

For me it has been a great E3. My only sadness is I do not have, nor will i ever have a ps4 or Xb1 so I will miss out on some very tasty titles.

christ you are so sour. If you do not think ED on xbox is big news you are nuts imo. sure we all know about it, but this forum is a tiny part of the community. the more advertising the game gets the better.

also FD is not all about Elite, their new coaster game also got an airing.

Elite Dangerous on a console IS big news. Can anyone name the last space sim type game on a console? The best I can do is Starfox, but I am sure someone knows a more recent example.

The space sim genre has had a hard time even on PC, and it's been non-existent on consoles, which seem to have favoured first person shooters or games like Grand Theft Auto or platform scrollers ... anything but a space sim.

Elite Dangerous on a console? Nah, not big news at all (yeah, right)

Yep...complete waste of time from a marketing perspective!!

Wait...what's that at the end there?

Dark Star 1 was my go to game on console (I have an xbox 360) to get my space game fix before elite.... it really cant hold a candle to elite however and indeed is an ancient game on PC. 1st played it donkeys years ago on my old pc!.

@Tinman, I assume your backers app will not reflect Xbox One GPP sales? Is it tied to the number of FD store logins? In which case the GPP sales won't accurately reflect in the backers app due to people like me who have both a PC and Xbox client tied to the same FD account.

My understanding is that the backer numbers is simply counting the created game accounts on FDs servers. So yes, in your case that extra sale would probably not show up since it is tied to the same account. Also worth mentioning (again) is that the day after the spike above (yesterday) the daily sales surpassed those numbers, but since the backers app stopped showing the numbers during the day :)() I can no longer give accurate numbers. Based on some rough estimations I would say they ended up around 32-35k yesterday though, vs 28,224 in the spike above.

Too bad. Was really curious to see the short/longterm effects of an console launch. Not just because of ED, but simply general curiosity.

(That they stopped updating the numbers on my birthday was an extra slap in the face! :D:p)
