Marek15 has clearly had enough
Sorry for the late update people.
To be honest i'm getting tired of updating the list and am thinking of handing over the duty to someone else... any volunteers?
CMDR Marek! I think this is a wonderful list and I applaud your effort so far!! Just nominated this list to be in the sticky section of the Explorer's Forum!!!
I reckon the effort to keep it up and running!!! But I am on my way to Sag A*!!! lol...
Anyways...I volunteer to keep it going...maybe a third person could help and so we can pass the stick every two to three months so nobody gets burned? My suggestion, but just know I could help!

Mods could you update this list please, I will do it if you give me acces.
Yup, it seems so. It's not an easy task, we should be thankful he lasted so long. It would be nice if someone could take over (r u sure Almighty?) but i guess the best way to do it would be to start a new thread and for a mod to lock the current (after a last post from Marek, pointing to the new thread).
I am about half way from SatA* and was almost about to turn around but this thread has rekindled that fire to see it again. Thanks explorers! I hope to post some great photos of the journey at some point.
Keep it up! I'm about 1/3 of the way there...![]()
I'm planning to start my journey to SagA* at some point within the next few days. Is there anything I need other than a 20ly-range FSD and a good fuel scoop? Would a field repair kit come in handy if I get too greedy (or crash into the star because of a frame rate drop) while scooping?
Also, this might seem like a stupid question because I've never actually tested it, but will the game let me pick up right where I left off if I save and quit mid-journey, or will it put me back at the last docking station I used?
I'm flying the Cobra. I've tried searching for a better FSD (my current one is a 4A) but I haven't found one. But okay, I'll upgrade my scanner and get some heat sinks. Every so often I'll drop a few frames while I'm scooping and I'll accidentally fly into the emergency drop zone and overheat the crap out of my ship before I even have time to react. It's a struggle. What ship are you flying? (20ly seems on the low side but that's obviously ship dependent). As for repair kits, I took 2 (so one could repair the other) all the way to Sag A* and back ... never used them. Some people also suggest taking heat sinks (so you can dump heat fast if you accidentally drop out of SC). I didn't and never would have used them if I had. You should take an Advanced Discovery Scanner if you can afford one and a Detailed surface scanner too. I made 22 million credits in exploration data from my trip. One other thing you could do is to sign up for the Buckyball Run before you leave. You don't have to bomb it there in under 15hrs to be part of what's a really great community. Your fellow racers will cheer you on and you'll get your name added to Bucky's big score board no matter how many days or weeks it takes you to get there
Edit: oh and yes, you can just log out whenever you want (somewhere peaceful I would suggest, i.e. away from the star or any asteroids) and when you log back in you'll still be there.
