Wanted status for attacking "wanted" enemy

200CR and you're fair game? Again doesn't make sense to any rational human being,

As a bounty hunter player for 200 credits I'll blast you. And as a rational human being I don't like being shot at, if you hit me by accident I'll blast you.

Check your targets and wait for your scans to finish, that's what separates bounty hunters from wanted criminals.

You have to scan before shooting : this is a broken game mechanic that FD is not in any rush to fix.

The authority places bounties, not your ship. The authority knows who is wanted (it's what your sensor scan does - scans the ship's id and calls the authority and says "Is this guy wanted?"). The local scan should be your peace of mind only, not some determinator of legality. The legality of shooting another ship isn't some quantum state function that has to be observed to collapse into Clean or Wanted. This is a stupid....broken... mechanic.

Your on-board systems communicates with local stations to confirm the targets status, then uploads a record of a clean kill and credits your account. This makes sense to me, I've never considered it to be broken. You wait for authorization from the authority before you shoot, or return fire after being hit because you are an unlicensed bounty hunter.
