It may be a bit late for Exploration though...

Yes, and that's a shame, really :(

I think it might be an idea to close this poll at some point and re-run it, maybe add Ironman and other options, to give Frontier a fresh poll to gauge opinion on.
It makes me wonder why Frontier don't make these polls themselves.

Do it! But when you do it, let me choose all answers before limiting the number of choices per forum user, again :p

Exploration is but a shadow of what was in the DDA: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=6418

(no dark systems, no secret locations, no comets, no system detection...)

Yeah they need to leverage their assets - think about the entire galaxy of information they have - and could exploit. By allowing us to discover things that are interesting.

A slight adjustment of the title might be beneficial - thus: Which DDF Proposals would you like to see Frontier work on first?

As the various options are getting broadly the same support with three choices, maybe a single choice poll would give better results.

You could list the options in the first post of a new thread (then create the poll later on), to ensure that everything gets covered as an option.

I think that is obvious. If the community came up with a clear and unambiguous list of priorities, it would be much harder for them to deliberately choose to do other things, and it's their game (and all that).

That said, I am pleased to see that the three I eventually came up with are 3 or the 4 most chosen options (exploration - for me, and background sim and persistent NPCs for the good of the game).

Depends what you mean by better. This is a little like the first past the post vs proportional representation conversation. With just one vote, I suspect that thing like persistent NPCs and background sim would get significantly fewer votes (in proportion) than they do now, because people will be more likely to go for what they want rather than the good of the game.

The 'least bad' approach is, I suspect, dependent on the number of options to select from. Perhaps 3 is too many with only 10 options. If there were 20 options, 3 would work pretty well, I suspect
