They say that and yet a lot of people don't feel that they have, myself included. As I run out of motivation new things are added that don't interest me and actually detract from the game. Community Goals feels tacked on and too gamey and grindy. I have only took part in two and that was for the narrative element. I didn't compete for a rank I only did a few runs just to contribute. Power Play is mess to me, none of makes sense or fits into the universe. It's practically a separate game like CQC is going to be (which also adds nothing for me). The most common defence of Power Play is "you don't have to play it".
I'm not the only one who feels this way. The updates appear to be following a similar sort of path - short terms goals, achievements, competition, repetition. That's fine, but it's about time for some depth and something to engage our brain. FD get all excited and hype up the best update ever and then we get it and go, "Meh". I was looking forward to Power Play, it sounded exactly the sort of thing I wanted but the implementation was just more of the same, repeated weekly.
