i'm not 1 for hiding behind aliases either.. this is me in game, in forum, in all my bearded glory lol.

If anyone wants to friend me.. Baigs. I made the Character out of Habit, never dreamed Mouse would be available on the Forums so was happy. I've thought of deleting and starting over as Mouse.

You have tools to counter his actions, forcing him to stop is not a tool you have access to. Also he is probably in a different mode/instance and maybe even time zone too, thus untouchable for you.
Hum... This reminds me of something....

You post, we counter post. You are trying to undermine the selective multiplayer aspect of the game and we are fortifying against your arguments. We're not trying to stop you from posting, but we've still stopped the changes. I'm glad you're finally starting to understand.

Yeah that's how it's done. Go to Solo until you can afford open. *thumbs up*

Why does that bother you so much? What is the difference between someone doing that and someone who has more resources from simply playing longer or from trading in empty systems? You keep complaining about Open being empty, after all.

That's the beauty of being able to switch between Open and Solo/Group Mode.

.... except that there are those who want Frontier to remove that core feature to suit their play-styles....

The sad part is that players that do such things probably think they won because they managed to drive somebody into Solo. Little do they know …

Absolutely - driving out those who don't share the same play-style may appear to the players that do it to be OK at the time will probably result in "there's no-one in Open" complaints - wait, I think we've had some of them recently.... Also, there's no need for any player to go Solo. There are a number of private groups out there - find one that suits one's play-style and enjoy it.

I've stated before my Ingame CMDR is Baigs. I may put it in my signature.

cool... for the record i was not having a pop at anyone who has a different CMDR name than their username... more just a dig at those who like to call carebear and coward at the same time as hiding behind anonymity ;)

i guess that's my biggest reason for my rabid objection to the psycho killer type mentality in games.
i am RP'ing the life i would live if i were in this reality.

however i would imagine that in real life anyone resembling our psycho killers would be the target of real pirates because they are giving pirates a bad name.
they would incite people to do more than just insure their cargo. like building navies with fast ships with the specific intention of hunting pirates.
in addition perhaps actually rewarding people that would hunt "the killers for fun".
maybe "no questions asked" rewarding anyone, including real pirates for turning in live specimens of the REALLY bad guys.

but bounties won't work in game because there will always be a respawn, even if it is in a new character if perma-death was a real punishment that could be handed out by some kind of in game court/justice system.

.

Wow... honestly if I didnt know better I would think you just read my mind. I think you and I pretty much feel exactly the same way. It is why pretty much the people who wind me up the most are the "bla bla bla I am RPing a psycho/terrorist/serial killer & the other one "where is your risk vs reward you are a carebear/coward" (not direct quotes from any 1 person) but it is such !

Many of these people would go crying to mummy IF FD implemented the proper consequences for RPing a psycho/terrorist/serial killer IF they want risk reward and the ability to RP a serial killer then let them.

But something tells me Fred & Rose West would not have been able to claim on their house insurance after the police ripped up their pad and garden, and so equally neither should the RPing killer in this game when the police catch their (wo)man after a focused (wo)man hunt. (to which someone will probably respond "but but but its only a game you cant punish me like that its not fair!" - but hang on where is the risk reward and the RPing then? - the hypocrisy is strong in many of these types imo.

Where was the fairness when a player loses a month of exploration data coming back from Sag A to for someones lolz - and bear in mind some individuals have done this to multiple people)

Good morning all.
It is a beautiful day here in the Midlands, UK.
Blue sky, gentle breeze, birds singing and sun shining brightly.

Thought I'd share my good mood before my wife catches on that I can do the gardening today she wants doing, I hate gardening :(
I'd sooner play in Open in my T9 than do gardening :p

So have a good day all. Chances are, it will be better than mine will be soon ;)

Funny you should mention garden sheds - I've been thinking of vacating the cupboard in favour of the garden shed.

sorry mouse, much like mike, my comment was aimed at the 'often ill mannered' types, those who come to make lots of noise behind masks. 'Baigs or Mouse' its all good! you have mentioned that enough for both names to be synony-mouse with each other ;D and i don't think anyone can mistake the avatar dude.
