The very best profession: fish trader.

But what will you bring back ? The fishmongering only goes 1 way. Seems like a waste to not have something to haul back to I Bootis.

Marine Equipment? That would seem to match the fishmonger theme the best (if I Bootis buys them).

Are you a 100% organic fishmonger? If not then Performance Enhancers and Prog Cells to create steroided out or genetically modified fish.

This is a DELIGHTFUL thread!
I haven't such fun reading stuff in this forum for months. :)
It has quite cheered me up and chased away my growing cynicism. +rep.

COD MOVES IN A MYSTERIOUS WAY.

I did more than enough fish trading from ibootis to aulin in alpha/beta to last me a lifetime. I know there will be a few others that feel the same!

CoD is a horrible franchise, it's completely predictable!

So, I have gotten more rep on this post than I could've imagined. I thought I would get a single reply and then my thread would be buried. Lol!

AH HA! so it's the rep your after and the FISH was the bait!! how very clever,, LOLZ jk :) very fun thread..

You are hereby dubbed CMDR Sharkbait ;)

it's a better name than my current "CMDR Flagrant". I got that from thesaurus.com, and now I really want it changed, it's so stupid.

An Imperial Prince hauling biowaste in a Type 7... Oh mate! Where did it all go wrong?

One less intergalactic fishmonger competing for OP's market share...

Well I've done it. Bought 216 tons of sh..... biowaste. The problem with my Type 7 is that the station didn't have any of the mods I needed to upgrade. So I'm out there with an underpowered ship full of biowaste and I was interdicted. Took my shields down, but I bravely ran away. Made 12,000cr profit minus 500cr of damage. Get in!

All this talk of selling fish makes me weep :(
Snif... Remember the good 'ol days, back in Beta hustling fish in a Hauler ...snif WAAAAAAAAAAH
snif those were the days, long gone snif

Cheers Cmdr's

No wonder they say trading is OP, I only make 11,999 cr profit most (piratical) runs!

I miss my first Hauler's static 6 Ly jump range too! :(

Kudos (and rep) to you all. I think you Commanders are playing the game the way the developer envisaged, well done. I also bet we will never see you post on here and whine about how boring the game is and how everything should change to suit you and you alone.
Why thank you! However, yes you will see me whine about things I am not happy with. The fact is that you cannot pigeon hole people into "always this" or "never that" based on a few characteristics. Being unhappy with certain aspects of game play doesn't preclude creativeness in the game. Likewise, being creative in the game doesn't negate the broken aspects of the game that the user might have enjoyed before they were broken, or perhaps they've never worked at all.
.I just wish more could see the enjoyment this game could provide if you only stepped outside of the box and looked at what you enjoy doing then go and do it. Too many I think expect to have everything, from the Lore to a never-ending story hand fed to them, instead of doing it far better by themselves.
Different folks get their enjoyment in different ways. You probably couldn't profit from a Meals on Wheels game. Likewise, you couldn't profit from a "haul fish" game. These are things that are very niche and require specific tastes to even be doable. The majority of users likely want to kill things and experience the awesomeness of space flight across the advertised 400 billion stars. They want to wing up with friends and lose themselves for a period of time in an immersive experience. They don't want to be cordoned off and detoured into doing things they didn't plan on doing, just to make the game playable.

I understand both sides of the coin.

I'll probably go back to missions, to cause civil wars. My powermates and I get a bonus in CZs, so I'd be like a CZ factory.

It'd be nice if there were other methods of literally causing wealth - producing events.

I once managed to clear out the entire 18000 stock of Biowaste from a Service Economy station, just to raise their influence. Though why they didn't just flush the stuff instead of piling it up in the market is beyond me.

'It might be Biowaste to you but it's my bread and butter!'

I Bootis, wow that brings back memories form Beta. Great place and seemingly exports the best fish in the known galaxy!
