One big issue with this kind of game with a deep relationship between dev and gamers, is that players are not considering a fact as a part of the background, but only a dev choice.

Did you just think that it is the "ED" world which is like that?
In another topic, it remembers me other threads where everybody tries to extract all patterns, all mathematic behind every game mecanics, is it how we have to play a game which tries to be "immersive"?
I can agree that some choices made by Frontier could be discussed... As the fact that several bugs are still here from months, as we woudl appreciate to have news concerning future updates, as the fact the game is missing content, and that being offline (due to your own reasons) makes you loosing merits... But fair or unfair? that's life, that's the background. You cannot argue that "it is not fair that Sith could launch thunders and Jedis not, George Lucas please fix it!". That's the story and nothing else. (well probably star wars fans would say that finally yes Jedis can but they don't)
