30,000 ships through Eravate in last 24 hours

I didn't have that much time to play last night, and I was in a foul mood because women. Well, woman. Green eyed, dark haired. Managed to finally annoy the biowaste out of me. Blocked her on Facebook and all that jazz. More time to grind ED, with the occasional HOTS/banner saga/Witcher I guess.

Got inderdected by a NPC sidewinder last night. Right after our telephone call. Decided to give in, and blasted the poor to smithereens. I was surprised I got 8000 credits bounty for that. Can anyone explain how bounty hunting works and what kinds of scanners and stuff I need on my ship?

that whole scanning unidentified signal sources thing is still a bit iffy for me.

I'm not moving out of the sandbox yet, even though I like the empire more, because I like the smuggling missions. Does Empire controlled space have similarly lucrative smuggling missions?

You have neglected to add in the XBox numbers - probably at least 100K

I only showed ~2,500 starred reviews in the XBox store, so I figured XBox was negligible. I acknowledge that review ratings are a poor metric, as I have no idea the historical ratio of reviews to purchases in the XBox store.

You think it's 100k? I hope so as that's great for the revenue/future development!

Strongly stating right up front that if someone attacks you, they are completely fair game no matter what they are flying - I've been vocal about "pvp" griefers and I am definitely NOT calling this anything like that. So clear on that.

But question - given that new players will be, well...new players. You know as sure as the sun rises that you will be attacked if you go there. You know you will be attacked by largely unskilled lambs to slaughter even if you downgraded your own ship to equivalent sidewinder.

You know that you would have to literally try to lose and still probably win. Is there some joy of shooting fish in a barrel I don't understand here?

I tend to operate mainly near new player sectors seeing as I myself have only played for a few weeks and have a sidewinder myself. So getting swarmed by around 10 of the same ship as me and taking them out is more than "fair game" in my book. Its also fun as hell!

EDIT: I am however a backer, and when i say playing for a few weeks i mean on this restart, so probably should have made that clear. Still same ship as them though!

Surely you could have upgraded to something better by now though?
