Cold blooded murder

Back in Gamma I killed someone in a Sidewinder with my fully kitted out Viper. He must have been new as he was bouncing off the exterior station walls trying to get into the mail slot. He was seconds away from docking when I just unloaded on him killing him in seconds. I don't think he knew what hit him. To be honest, this was before we got the news that saves were not being wiped before launch so I figured why not. But oops - sorry if you ever read this.

A "cold blooded murder" with training wheels! :D

Yeah, right? Who uses a docking computer with a Vulture, or for that matter at all? I blast through that mail slot and hit the landing pad hard.

He probably raised a ticket because his ship blew up for no reason...........

It's a godsend when your canopy is smashed and you're trying to dock at an Outpost to get it repaired!!

I applaud your tactics!

Sooooo......who started this fight?

If it was you OP well then, shame on you. Pick on your own size next time. If the Cobra started it, well then, good riddance. Nothing cold - blooded about teaching someone a valuable lesson.

Shamefully, I did. I was bored while searching for my mission objective. :p

I've never used a docking computer but I suspect, in a Vulture, that you could do it faster than the docking computer can. The Vulture is the easiest of all the ships I've flown to dock with. Awesome ship.

Live and learn, right? Any who if you ever want to test your mettle against a real combat pilot, let me know. In game - CMDR The Dayman

It is, shields are amazing! I can never quite get the trajectory right when docking - usually end up slamming into the control tower lol

If he was ramming you then fair enough, even if you started it, there is always the option of running away. I know fairly quickly if I am going to win or lose, and if I am going to lose I am not afraid to Sir Robin asap.

I'm mildly curious. Why did you decide to post that you killed someone in a much lower power ship for no reason? Seems like you're self-congratulating that you managed to kill another player in a kind of "Hey guys, I just punched a kid" sort of way and want validation from others for it.

I could be way off, mind. That's just what it reads like.

Click bait is all. Looking for attention.

Practice docking with the tutorial or with the ship you use. Docking is fun, but it takes sometime to learn how to use the ship your in. Next step is flying around the outside of the station and trying to fly inside it's structure - those ball stations are especially fun for that.

Ah! Yeah, I did to begin with but it's just practice, seriously. I can boost into the letterbox of a normal station in a vulture and still land happily and on outposts I can drop that thing straight onto the pad. It's worth practising at as you get a module back and it's just so darned satisfying :)

Trying to work out whether an A5 shield is better than a D5 shield with 3 boosters hmmm.

I willp have a look at the tutorial for docking at something...just a bit wary of dinging it as, like mentioned, I'm a little over zealous with the throttle :)

Hmmm. Bearing in mind my weapons , I need to whey up the pros and cons of having weaker shields and longer recharge.
