Anyone know where in Yong-rui 15% discounted space I can buy military composite armor?

Surprisingly both Lembava and Diaguandri, the big tech worlds have -zero- inventory of any armor other than default light alloy.

Yeah I had a good look around yesterday, seems like none of them (I have found at least) stock any kind of armor at all. Guessing it may be deliberate due to the huge price tag compared to all other modules, unless I just haven't been lucky enough to find a place yet.

Guess I'll buy it full price.

I get it's expensive, but not sure they don't stock it just because of that because you can get 15% off the huge A7 parts which cost like 50M or thereabouts. Oh well, full price it is.

Maybe my problem isn't that military composite armor doesn't exist at every high tech world I've been to (across ~200 LY!!), but that I just didn't know something about the Imperial Courier I should.

Does anyone know for sure if the Imperial Courier can upgrade lightweight alloy at all? I'm not kidding, I started out at Lembava, and checked every single high tech world on my map filter on the way all the way to other side of bubble, towards Alioth way up top.

I'm sure I missed a few worlds, but I stopped at every large and even small high tech worlds I saw - maybe 14 in total. Every single time, it just says station has no upgrade for my armor. I'm now thinking is there some restriction on armor for the imperial courier?

Don't think it's the courier, had the same issue as noted yesterday when trying to find some for my vulture. Don't actually have any idea where even sells armour now. Have checked another 10 or so today and every single one is the same as you, no upgrade available.

made new thread, think I figured it out but don't like the answer. I will bet you 100% that if you go back to whatever tech world you checked had no upgrade for your vulture - but go back in another ship type - it will have it.

I was going crazy thinking every high tech world was out of stock - but then recalled I visited some of those worlds with my asp recently and they had mil spec armor.

So sure enough, I took my Imperial courier to one of those tech worlds (Alioth - Golden Gate) and it said no upgrade, but when I bought sidewinder on same world - which uses same I1 class armor - I could upgrade to mil spec

So the world has the armor in stock, it can upgrade a sidewinder which uses exact same class and size, but can't upgrade Imperial Courier. And it now sounds like Vultures are affected too?

Hmm, interesting, so it appears certain ships are now unable to purchase armour ? I sincerely hope this is a bug and not by design..Might be worth filing a bug report as I have a hard time believing it is intended.

Yo guys. on 14.07 GalNet said that you only need ANY rank to purchase Clipper / Courier. Can someone please check any station if this still is lasting? I'm currently out exploring and would have to turn around. Knowing whether this also applies in the Asian's space would be superb.

As part of the celebrations for this news it was also announced that all independent pilot with an active rank with the Imperial Navy will be able to purchase the Imperial Courier and Imperial Clipper ships.

A guy over here - https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=167469&p=2556225#post2556225 , on my thread asking about this gave some useful info - he says that bulkheads can only be upgraded on worlds where
a) the armor is available
b) the ship is sold at that shipyard

So I am testing this by flying my courier the long, long short hop at a time voyage to imperial worlds from other side of the bubble, and see if I can buy armor from a world where couriers are sold

**EDIT - Yup, damn this is useful info to know - my imperial courier was able to upgrade bulkhead armor at an imperial world where Courier's are sold. So looks like the rule that you can only upgrade armor where the armor is available + ship has to be sold there seems to be the case.

Yeah, I stupidly managed to check everywhere APART from Ray Gateway where I bought the damn thing ... lol they have all bulkheads in stock there. Anyway good info, will save a bit of headache for my other ships.

That's totally a Fed port now tho'. Sidey, Eagle, Adder, Viper, Cobra, Orca (the thing in Baldr).

yea, found that out the hard way - had bought my courier there so knew at one time they had it, but traveled all the way there from other side of bubble to find out no more couriers sold there, and hence no military armor for my courier.
