Good spot! I hear it as a repeating musical phrase in F#. The intervals are 13131 151 or F#A#F#A#F# F#C#F#. I don't think the key is as important as the interval pattern though.

Was just about to post those screenshots.....but I'm thinking from those bits of light.....it could be fake along with that ship...he got pulled out of hyperspace which was done instantly and had no effects unlike what we've had from being pulled out of supercruise where we know that it's happened along with our ship tumbling and a text/voice message saying we've been pulled out....and the fact that when your ship gets destroyed you have an eject warning no matter the reason of ship destruction...when the shields go down the text is dulled out.......there is also no indications as to where he got hit from on his ship hologram thing as well....so fake.

Hmm the "Thargoid" ship detail seems a little low-res somehow, I dunno.
Also "Your ship was destroyed by Thargoid", and not "a Thargoid"? Seems fishy..

Yes, I reckon a fake too, albeit a clever fake.
For example, look at the screenshots in Lazerus' post, it looks like a masked image of the cockpit has been brightened to create the flash effect.
While admittedly I've not actually checked, wouldn't actual in-game lighting from a laser shot look different?
after reading some comments and watching the video a few more times, i belive that it is a fake too.
Im not mad though, its a nice vid, and im glad that its a hoax since the thargoid attacked for no reason at all...and somehow that doesnt fit for them...also i dont want to fight them
i want their ships and weapons in a peacefull trade...unless there is some form of mechanical AI faction, then i want them as buddy
